Roadworks on the N55 and in Drumlish, Killoe, Kenagh and Lanesboro for motorists to negotiate this week
Longford motorists are being warned that they face disruption over the coming weeks as roadworks get underway at FIVE locations across the county.
The N55 between Edgeworthstown and Ballymahon will be closed from 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, for three weeks, from Monday next, February 12. The closure is to facilitate the N55 Meeltanagh Pavement Overlay Scheme between Edgeworthstown and Carrickboy. READ MORE HERE
There are also roadworks in Drumlish, Killoe, Kenagh and Lanesboro for motorists to negotiate this week.
Drumlish
Road works are to be carried out on the R-198 Drumlish to Tawnagh from Monday, February 12 to Friday, February 16 (between the hours of 8am to 6pm) to facilitate the installation of watercuts on verges.
Traffic management system (Stop and Go) will be in place for the duration of the works.
Killoe
Road works are to be carried out on the R-194 at Doherty's Cross in the townland of Esker, Killoe from Monday, February 12 to Friday, February 16 (8am to 6pm) to facilitate the installation of Traffic Signage.
Traffic management system (Stop and Go) will be in place for the duration of the works.
Kenagh
Road works are to be carried out on the L-52391-0 McHugh Park, Kenagh, Longford from 8am to 6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 13 and 14.
These roadworks are required to facilitate the provision of DBM overlay and traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works.
Lanesboro
The L-1167-0 Rathcline, Lanesboro will be closed from 8am to 6pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, February 14, 15 & 16 and also on Monday, February 19 to facilitate the provision of DBM overlay.
Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works. In the interest of road safety, you are requested to follow diversions and heed all signs.
The alternative routes are; Rathcline to Fermoyle via L-1168, L-1166 and L-11651 ; and Fermoyle to Rathcline via L-11651, L-1166 and L-1168
