The death occurred peacefully, in his 79th year, at Connolly Hospital on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 of Hugh E Nally, Corner House, Ballymahon, Co Longford/ Trim, Co Meath. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Kathleen and brothers James and Ronnie. Sadly missed by his twin brother Tom, sisters Jacqueline Howe and Miriam, brothers Niall, Paul, and Louis, nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends. Rest in peace.
Hugh will repose this Friday, January 19 from 2pm to 4pm at McEvoy's Funeral Home (Market Street, Trim, C15 PE00) and from 7pm to 9pm at St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon. Funeral Mass is Saturday, January 20 at noon in St Matthew's Church. Burial in Forgney Cemetery. The death occurred peacefully, at the Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Thursday, January 18, 2024 of Bernard Nally, Cartrongarrow, Ardagh, Co Longford. Sadly missed by his loving sister Marion, his nephews Brian and Harold (Gorey, Wexford), his aunt Eileen Lennon (Walkinstown, Dublin), cousins, his good friend Gerry Leavy, neighbours, relatives and friends. Reposing at Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Edgeworthstown, on Saturday, January 20 from 5pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Sunday, January 21 to St Brigid's Church, Ardagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private, please. Wife of the late Kevin and stepsister of the late Rosie. The death occurred unexpectedly in Hull, North Yorkshire on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 of Geoffrey (Geoff) R Smith, Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck, Co. Longford (formerly of Liverpool, England). Predeceased by his wonderful parents Marjorie and George, parents-in-law Lizzy and Fintan Morris.
Geoff will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Brenda, his cherished son Daniel, partner Beth and his baby grandson George, who was born on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. His beloved sisters Elaine and Janet, his brothers-in-law Alan, Mark, Willie, Colm, Sean (Morris), Sean (Browne), John and Fintan, sisters-in-law Marian, Teresa, Helen and Elizabeth. his Aunts-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephew. All his cousins, neighbours and many friends around the world.

The death occurred suddenly, but peacefully, at Lough Errill Nursing Home, Mohill on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 of Beatrice (Bea) Hallinan (née Moggan), Mohill, Co Leitrim and late of Tuam, Co Galway. Very sadly missed by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Michael (Mick) and sister of Edward (Eddie), sister-in-law Bina, predeceased by her brothers Paddy, Seamus, Mickey, Liam and Charlie, sisters Kitty and Mary. Predeceased by her loving husband Arthur, her daughter Colette, her twin sister Colette and her brothers Dono & George. Much loved mother of Breda and Anne. Thomas Donohoe, Ballsbridge, Dublin / Ballinamore, Leitrim
The death occurred peacefully at the Marlay Nursing Home, Rathfarnham, Dublin on Tuesday January 16, 2024 of Thomas Donohoe, Ballsbridge, Dublin/ Ballinamore, Co Leitrim. Tom had received the most excellent care from the dedicated staff who supported him during his journey with Alzheimer's. Tom was a Cavan man (Killygarry), spending his younger adult life in Basingstoke, Hampshire, U.K. Latterly, he returned to Ireland and for many years resided in Ballsbridge, Dublin.
Tom was predeceased firstly by his young wife Anne Stack of Tarbert, Co Kerry and latterly, in his maturing years, by Margaret Gallogly of Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. Tom leaves behind his daughters Helen and Christine, grandchildren Catherine, Adam, Laura, Bethany and James, his brother James and other extended family.
A small graveside service took place on Thursday, January 18 with his immediate family present. 'God bless you dear Tom and thank you for letting us be part of your life’s story’.
Bernadette (Bernie) Youngs (née Cusack) London and formerly of Garrymore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan
The death occurred peacefully at Kings College Hospital, London on Thursday, January 4, 2024 of Bernadette (Bernie) Youngs (nee Cusack), London and formerly of Garrymore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Martin Youngs. Much loved mother of Shane and Siobhan Youngs. Sadly missed by her granddaughter Erin Youngs, her brother Owen Cusack and sisters Kathleen Coyle, Agnes O’Connor, Rose O’Shea and Frances Foy, her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing in St Mary of the Crays Church, Crayford on Wednesday, January 31 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral service at 10:30am on Thursday, February 1 followed by cremation at Eltham Crematorium at 12:30.
