Creative Longford folk to showcase work at Ardagh Christmas Arts & Crafts Market

The locals of Ardagh are looking forward to welcoming a group of artists, crafters and creative folk from across County Longford and neighbouring counties for a festive Christmas Arts and Crafts Market on Saturday, December 16.

The Community Centre in Ardagh Village will play host to the crafters, who will be displaying their wares just in time for anyone looking for last-minute Christmas presents.

Ardagh-based designer and textile artist, Annarita Monaldi, has gathered a collective of crafters and artists from her network of like-minded people and created an opportunity to showcase and sell their products.

This is a great opportunity for buyers to find original, unique and handmade presents and gift ideas all in one place, including jewellery, handmade crocheted and knitted items, paintings, locally produced honey, illustrations and cards.

You'll be able to find beautiful stained glass decorative pieces, pebble and glass wall art, stunning terrariums, nursery decor, personalised baby products, and much more!

There will be Christmas music and carol singing filling the hall of the Ardagh Community Centre while you browse the wide range of offerings, teas and coffees with waffles and muffins available from a mobile unit outside, and a warm, festive and welcoming atmosphere, all in the heart of the beautiful and picturesque Ardagh Village.

This is a great opportunity to support your local l talents and small local businesses, as well as create a special occasion for the whole community to get together, support each other and start the celebrations of this year’s winter holidays. So pause your internet checkout basket, and buy something unique, local, sustainable and handmade instead!

The Ardagh Christmas Arts and Crafts Market will start at 11am and run until 4pm.
