An application by a private investment company to convert commercial premises on Bridge Street, Longford into apartments is being assessed by Longford County Council planners.
Double Visas Investments Limited have made the application to Longford County Council planners for the change of use of the existing development located at Bridge Street, Abbeycartron, Longford. The building is located opposite the cinema.
The application is for the change of use to the existing vacant and unfinished restaurant and retail units at ground and lower ground floor levels to three residential duplex apartments.
The development will be made up of one two-bed and two three-bed apartments all with their own private external balcony and terrace at lower ground floor level and their own door entrance at street level.
Included in the application are façade alterations at ground and lower ground floor front and rear elevations, and the completion of the lower ground floor rear terrace to include an open or circulation area and all associated site and services works.
Previously the application was put on hold due to an incomplete application. The latest application was made at the start of December, with the planners indicating a decision should be made by early February.
Double Visas Investments Limited, which has a business address at 13 Wellington Quay, Dublin 2, has three shareholders.
The company's current directors have been the director of 28 other Irish companies between them.
