Praise for professionalism of fire service personnel that tackled Longford blaze
On Saturday last a fire at a residential property at the back of LanesBrew Coffee shop in Lanesboro created a great deal of concern to those in the vicinity.
Thankfully, there was nobody in the residence at the time and due to the prompt actions of the Lanesboro Fire Brigade there was not a lot of damage done to the property.
At this initial stage of investigation, it is believed that an electrical fault was the cause of the fire. The actions and speed of the response by the fire brigade had to be seen to be believed. They began with a sprint to put out the fire and that swiftness did not stop until the fire was totally extinguished.
Compliments to the local fire brigade team for their prompt action and the professionalism shown in dealing with the fire.
