Ann-Maire Gaynor
Longford author Ann-Marie Gaynor has secured a top 10 place in the adult non-fiction paperback category with her book “The Budget Book 2024” according to data released by Nielsen Book Scan on the week of November 4.
Ann-Marie has self-published The Budget Book annually since 2021 and has grown a significant following on Instagram as ‘The Irish Budgeting Mammy’ where she shares advice to her dedicated following on budgeting and managing personal finances.
In partnership with Irish company Buy the Book, who support Ireland’s independent authors, Anne-Marie has achieved her top 10 place with Nielsen through independent online distribution only, a ground-breaking feat for self-published authors in Ireland.
Ann-Marie resides in Co. Longford with her four children and her partner. She works full time as a nurse in mental health. After years of managing her own personal debt, she realised she could help others to control their personal finances. Ann-Marie designs and produces the books herself.
Speaking of her achievement, Ann-Marie commented: “As a self-published author I am really proud to have achieved a top ten place in my category alongside traditionally published authors. I have worked hard for years building an online community and producing my books, and it is wonderful to gain recognition through Nielsen Book Scan Data.
"My passion is to help people with their budgeting and personal finances, and also to show other Irish self-published authors what can be achieved. I hope the success of The Budget Book 2024 inspires independent authors nationwide to break down barriers in the publishing industry.”
