Longford gardaí seize two cars in separate incidents

Longford gardaí seized two cars following separate incidents in recent days.

A driver that had been disqualified from driving for the past decade and had a child unrestrained in the back seat was arrested by gardaí attached to the Roads Policing Unit in Longford. 

The vehicle was seized and court proceedings to follow. 

While gardaí seized a second vehicle after they discovered the driver held a driving licence that wasn't genuine. 

Court proceedings will follow in this instance also.

A defendant who pleaded guilty to producing a knife in the course of a road rage incident was fined and banned from holding a driving licence for one year at Longford District Court.
