Longford Ulster Bank planning appealed to An Bord Pleanála

The decision of Longford County Council planners to grant permission to Ulster Bank to carry out work at their now closed premises at 54 Main Street, Deanscurragh, Longford town has been appealed to An Bord Pleanála.

On June 16, permission with five conditions attached, was granted to Ulster Bank to carry out external works on a protected structure for the removal of an ATM, to be infilled with stone to match the existing as well as the removal of the Ulster Bank raised lettering shop sign and the removal of the Ulster Bank general blue signage.

It provided for internal works for the removal of the ATM's in stud walls, as well as removal of loose furniture and the removal of Ulster Bank signage and merchandise on all floors.

An appeal was subsequently lodged by a 3rd Party Appellant with An Bord Pleanála who are due to decide on the merits of the appeal by November 13 of this year.
