I encourage everyone to get involved, to make the most of the rest of the summer and to see County Longford in new ways.”
Longford County Council Chief Executive Paddy Mahon spoke on the importance of the work of the Council in helping people take part in new activities.
“The Council, through the work of our Longford Sports Partnership and Longford Tourism, proudly promotes these excellent opportunities for people to prioritise their physical and mental health.”
Tony Headon, Chairperson of Longford Sports Partnership says “Sport Ireland’s HER Outdoors Week is proving to be a wonderful annual opportunity for all females to escape to the outdoors and try something new. We want women in Longford discovering the fun and freedom of the outdoors. This week will ignite that sense of adventure. In Longford we have Archery, Yoga, Kayaking, Golf and much more.
"We are also excited to have the trail run and summer walk series taking place in Longford again, to showcase the lovely running and walking trails we have in County Longford.”
