Art is a big passion of 18-years-old Laura Shanley and in 2015 she finished second in the Irish League of Credit Unions art competition. She spends much of her time honing her artistic skills and plans to go to college to study art next year. Laura says it is her dream to pursue forensic pathology and she describes Marie Cassidy, who was State Pathologist from 2004 to 2018 and the first woman to hold the position, as amazing and someone she looks up to. Currently, working as a waitress in the Longford Arms Hotel, Laura is also a talented makeup artist.
