Road closures across Longford on Sunday to facilitate Moto Stages Rally

A number of roads around Longford will be closed from 8am to 8pm on Sunday, March 5 to facilitate the Midland Motor Club Moto Stages Rally. 

All diversions will be signposted.

Motorists are asked to heed all signs and marshalls. 


Stages 1, 4, 7
Roads to be closed: L1018, L5036, L5050, L5017, L5032, L5017, L5040, L5053, L5044, L5059, L50591 starting at Bundoon, through Drumure, Gorteenorna, Garrowhill, Carrowbeg, Bohernameeltoge, Ballinacurry, finishing at Oghill.

Diversion Route: Divert via Cahnagh R198, Kilnashee, Bawn, Cloonmacart, Cartrongolan, Ennybegs, Esker Cross, Kilnatruan Cross Roads, Knockloughlin

Stages 2, 5, 8
Roads to be closed: L1055, L1065, L5120, L1072, L5152, L1052, L5158, L5131, L5147, L1072, L1071 starting at Kilnacarrow, Cavan, Gorteen, Garvagh, Glenoghil, Killoe Glebe, Farraghroe, Kilmoyle, Ballygarve, Creeve, Creeve Cross Roads, Lisavady, Ballymacwilliam, to Corrabaun

Diversion Route: Divert at Rhine, Currycahill, Currygrane, Lissameen, Glannagh, Corby, Lissardowlan, Whiterock, Mucknagh, Killoe, Ailenagh, Killyfad

Stages 3, 6, 9 
Roads to be closed: L-5185, L-5195, L-1118, L-5209, L-52091, L-5209, L-1123, L-5231, L-11261, L-1129 from Laughil, Rabbitpark, Drumlogher, Derrymore, Nappagh, Aghalust, Bawn, Bawn Mountain, Barroe, Castlerea Mountain, Mollyroe, Castlerea, Cloghan, Keeloge, Commock, Curraghmore, Abbeyderg, finishing in Cartron.

Diversion Route: Divert at Creagh, Cartronbreack, Curracreehan, Knockagowney, Curry, Aughantemple, Moydow, Keel, Drumming Cross, Ardagh, Colloeshill, Richfort, Cordivin, Lisduff
