The polling station in Sacred Heart National School Granard was abuzz with people tonight, some booths even having lines out the door.

While, due to an overflow of voters, there wasn’t a chance to ask what Booth 1’s percentage was but Booth 2 was nowhere near as busy.

One of the voting clerks said there were only about  5-minute breaks between rushes throughout the day.

They saw 175 voters coming out to vote which amounted to a whopping percentage of 29%

Voting Booth 3 had a percentage of 30% it was believed that it would get busier as the night went on.

Of course, not every booth saw this kind of turnout.

Booth 4 saw a percentage of 25% and like the others expected a larger number as the night continued.
