Mullinalaghta make it through to the Leader Cup Final

A goal from a penalty converted by Donal McElligott in the 54th minute proved to be the decisive matchwinning score as Mullinalaghta got the better of Killoe to make it through to the Leader Cup Final against Clonguish at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Sunday next.

Emmet Park was the venue for the senior football league semi-final on Sunday and while county champions St Columba’s are now just a step away from completing the double, Emmet Og suffered a significant setback when midfielder Paddy Thompson was sent-off in first half stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card.
