Padraic O’Brien reporting from Emmet Park, Killoe
Longford gradually asserted their superiority to score a comfortable win over London in Round 1 of the Ladies Leinster Intermediate Football Championship at Emmet Park, Killoe on Saturday.

Whatever hopes London had of getting back into contention were completely dashed when Michelle Farrell scored the second goal for Longford, connecting with a centre from Claire Greene to flick the ball to the net with just three minutes gone on the changeover.
