Westmeath’s Alan Mullen appointed the new Longford ladies football senior manager

Longford LGFA are pleased to announce the appointment of Westmeath’s Alan Mullen as the new manager of the Longford Senior ladies football squad for the 2023 season which starts on Sunday January 22 away to Louth in Division 3 of the National League at the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda.

The Rosemount native takes over from Brian Noonan who stepped down following Longford’s exit from the 2022 All-Ireland Intermediate championship at the quarter-final stage against Clare in June. 

Alan brings  a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has managed successfully both men’s and women's football teams in the midlands at both club, county & colleges level and is very much up to speed with the ladies game at underage and senior levels in county Longford.

Division 3 of the Lidl Ladies Football National League is made up of Clare (relegated from Division 2 in 2022), Down, Kildare, Louth, Longford, Sligo, Wexford and promoted Offaly.
