With a defeat, a win and a draw in their opening three league fixtures against Fermanagh, Kilkenny and Carlow respectively, the Longford ladies senior football squad are facing a crucial clash away to unbeaten Limerick this Sunday at Feohanagh/Castlemahon GAA, Quad Park, Coolyroe, V42T270, throw-in 2pm.
A second victory in Division 4 this season for Longford against last year’s beaten All-Ireland Junior Championship finalists Limerick will put Pat Tiernan’s charges in a good position to qualify for the league semi-finals but it could be hard earned.
