Longford Slashers, the five-in-a-row county senior champions, will have home advantage against the Offaly champions Naomh Ciaran in the Leinster LGFA Club Senior Championship semi-final at Michael Fay Park this Sunday, throw-in 2pm.
The reigning Leinster champions Kilmacud Crokes will take on Milltown (Westmeath) in the other last four clash on Sunday.
Slashers manager Conor Clarke was in Ferbane on Sunday last to watch Naomh Ciaran scored a resounding 5-12 to 1-12 win over Eadestown (Kildare) and is only well aware that his side are facing a tough task against experienced opponents who won the All-Ireland Intermediate club title in 2019.
The Longford Senior ‘B’ champions Clonguish are also in Leinster Club action this weekend at home against Shelmaliers (Wexford) in the opening round of the Intermediate Championship at Allen Park (2pm) on Saturday while St Brigid’s Gaels Ardagh make the trip to Carlow on the same day to take on St Brigid’s, Hacketstown (2pm) in the Leinster Junior quarter-final.
