Longford U-18 ladies in quest for Leinster Minor ‘A’ Championship glory

The bulk of the Longford team that beat Dublin in the Leinster 'B' final last year will be in action against Kildare in the provincial 'A' title decider at the Kinnegad grounds this Wednesday evening (May 17), throw-in 7.30pm.

Pat Tiernan's charges overcame Dublin and Meath to qualify for the main Leinster Final in a fantastic achievement and will be hoping to gain revenge for the defeat against Kildare in the group stage 

The Longford line-out in the 0-10 to 0-8 win over Dublin in the Group Stage Round 1 clash at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park back in early April:   

LONGFORD: Aoife Cooney (Clonguish); Emma Farrell (Ardagh), Ailbhe Brady (Mostrim), Rachel Fallon (Ardagh); Ella Duggan (Clonguish), Kate McEntire (Dromard), Funmi Talabi (Mostrim); Sian Gallagher (Ardagh, 0-1), Ella O’Reilly (Mullinalaghta); Megan Glennon (Clonguish), Anna Hayden (Ardagh, 0-4, 2 frees), Sarah Macken (Colmcille); Kate Shannon (Longford Slashers, 0-5, 3 frees), Tessa Tiernan (Grattans), Grace Cullen (Rathcline).

Subs:- Elena O’Reilly (Dromard) for S Macken (38 mins); Rachel Penrose (Longford Slashers) for F Talabi (injured, stoppage time).
