The death occurred on Monday, December 24 of Sister Catherine Marie DMJ (Lucy) Flynn, Catherine McAuley House, Beaumont; Iona Road, Dublin 9 and formerly of Newtowncashel, Co Longford. Deeply mourned by her loving Community, the Daughters of Mary and Joseph; her sisters Annie Mai (Casserly), Liza (Crotty); brothers Father John SMA, Mike and Seamus; brother-in-law Brendan (Crotty); nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Reposing at DMJ House, 65 Iona Road, on Friday, December 28 from 2pm, with removal to Church of St Columba, Iona Road, for Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, December 29 at 10am, followed by burial in St Kieran’s Cemetery, Kilkenny. Sleep in heavenly peace.
Mel Bohan, Ballywalter and formerly Bohey Rock, Drumlish/, Ardagh, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully, at St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, on Monday, December 24 of Mel Bohan, Ballywalter and formerly Bohey Rock, Drumlish/, Ardagh, Longford. Sadly missed by his sons J P, Val, Mel and Walter, their mother Ann, his brothers Sean and Val, sister-in-law Patricia, daughters-in-law Mary, Michelle and Eileen, grandchildren, nieces and nephew, extended family and friends. Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Edgeworthstown, on Thursday, December 27 from 4.30pm until 6.30pm with Prayers at 6pm followed by removal to St. Brigid's Church, Ardagh, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, December 28 at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society. Houses private.

The death occurred, peacefully, at Beaumont Hospital, in his 19th year, on Saturday, December 22 of Aidan Bannon, Barney, Ardagh, Longford. Beloved son of Bernie and Anne and loving brother to Sinead. Sadly missed by his heartbroken mother, father and sister, his granny Mary Ann, his aunts Mary, Ann Farrell (Ardagh Village), Evelyn Keenan (Clonscott), Mary McGowan (Newtownforbes), Claire O'Donnell (Enfield) and his uncles John (Coolcaw), Mel (Meeltenagh) and John Keenan (Clonscott), his cousins Claire and Kevin, Mel and Mark, David and Stephen, Fiona, Ashling and Niall, Ciaran and Louise, Monica, Colm and Brendan, neighbours, relatives and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Shay, Culliagh Upper, on Wednesday, December 26 of Bernadette Nugent (née Farrell), Ballytoo Manor, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon. Predeceased by her husband Frank. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marsha, son Anthony, son-in-law Shay, daughter-in-law Laura, grandchildren Carl and Katie, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his darling wife Eileen. Beloved father of Gail, adored grandfather of Conor and Jack and father in law of James (McCuskers).
