Deaths in Longford - Friday, December 7, 2018

Rita Farrell (née Flaherty), Derryadd, Killashee, Longford
The death occurred, at home in Derryadd, on Thursday, December 6 of Rita Farrell (nee Flaherty) Derryadd, Killashee, Co Longford and formerly of St Michael’s Road and Farnagh Cottages, Longford town. Deeply regretted by her husband P Farrell and her loving family Gerry, Jimmy, Marie and Michael, daughters-in-law Teresa, Jenny and Sarah, son-in-law Brendan Cosgrove, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brother, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces. cousins, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.
Reposing in St. Joseph’s Hospital Chapel, Dublin Road, Longford, this Saturday evening, December 8 from 4pm with prayers at 5pm followed by removal to St Mel’s Cathedral, arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, December 9 at 1pm with burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

David O'Brien, Clondra, Longford

The death occurred, suddenly in Perth, Australia, on Thursday, November 22 of David O'Brien, Clondra, Longford. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken family, parents Malachy and Bernadette, sisters Hilary and Alison, brother Ross, nephew Winston, Hilary’s partner Mark, Alison’s partner Sean and David’s partner Chitra, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and a wide circle of good friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his home in Clondra this Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9 from 2pm until 6pm each day with private time thereafter. Funeral Mass on Monday, December 10 in St Brendan’s Church, Clondra at 11am. House private on Monday morning please. Mass followed by private burial in Newtownforbes Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund care of Kelly’s Funeral Directors or any family member.

Marie O'Neill, Hillcrest house, Longford town, Longford
The death occurred on Thursday, December 6 of Marie O'Neill, Hillcrest house, Longford town and late of Lurgan, Legan, Co Longford. Predeceased by her father Edward, mother Anne, brothers Kevin, Noel and Eamon and sister Tessie. Deeply regretted by her brother Paschal, sisters Evelyn, Imelda and Camilla, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces and the staff of Hillcrest House. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown, on Saturday, December 8 from 4pm with prayers at 6om, arriving St Mary's Church, Legan, at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Sunday, December 9 at 11am with burial afterwards in Foxhall Cemetery.

Maceaj Derekc, Shannon Quay, Rooskey, Leitrim / Roscommon
The death occurred, suddenly, at his home, on Wednesday, December 5 of Maceaj Derekc, Shannon Quay, Rooskey  and Poland. Employee of Keepack, Athleague. Rest In Peace.
Cremation service on Saturday, December 8 at 11am in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Leaving Shannon Quay, Rooskey at 10am.

Mattie Connor, Cashelbeg, Lanesboro, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully, at Inis Ree Lodge Nursing Home, Ballyleague, on Wednesday, December 5 of  Mattie Conor, Cashelbeg, Lanesboro, Co Longford.
Predeceased by his brothers Ned and Mike and sister Mary Bridget. Deeply regretted by his sister Margaret and his brother Johnny, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephew, extended family, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
Removal on Friday, December 7 from his residence to St Mary's Church, Lanesboro for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Cashel Cemetery.

Mary Murphy, Cootehall, Boyle, Roscommon / Manorhamilton, Leitrim
The death occurred, peacefully, at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, on Wednesday, December 5 of Mary Murphy, Cootehall, Boyle, Co Roscommon and formerly of Lisnabrack, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by her brother Seamus, sadly missed by her sister Kathleen (Lenehan), her nephews Damian, Colm and Raymond, their wives Niamh and Theresa, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Mass on Friday, December 7 at 11am in the Church of the Annunciation, Mullies followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. May She Rest In Peace.
