Patrick Farrell, Derrygeel, Lanesboro, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 27, 2025 of Patrick Farrell, Derrygeel, Lanesboro, Longford. 

Predeceased by his wife Pamela, his son Ciarán and his sister Sr. Mary. Sadly missed by his loving sons Martin, Paul, Colm and Damien, his sisters Dympna (Ballinteer, Dublin), his brothers John (Newtowncashel) and Michael (Clondra), nieces, nephews, his six grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) Longford, on Wednesday, October 29 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St Mary's Church, Lanesboro at 11am on Thursday, October 30 followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium at 2.30pm. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live HERE. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society care of Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member. House private please.

John (Sean) Luby, Clondalkin, Dublin / Moyne, Longford

The death occurred suddenly on Saturday, October 25, 2025 of John (Sean) Luby, Clondalkin, Dublin and formerly Fyhora, Moyne, Co Longford. Pre-deceased by his parents Harry and Rose, sister Kathleen and grandson Kerigan.

Deeply regretted by his son Mark, daughters Nicola and Cabrinne, grandchildren Oisín, Fionn, Andrew, Amanda, Dylan, Connor and Kieran, brother Harry, son in law David, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. May John Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Clondalkin Village, D22 EOCO on Thursday, October 30 between 4pm and 6pm. A private celebration of John's (Sean's) life will be held at Newlands Crematorium Chapel followed by cremation. To leave a private message of condolence, please click here. Sheila O'Neill, (née Duffy), Archers Crescent, Loughboy, Kilkenny / Ballinalee, Longford

The death occurred peacefully, at St Luke's Hospital on Saturday, October 25, 2025 of Sheila O'Neill (nee Duffy), Archers Crescent, Loughboy, Kilkenny and formerly of Currygrane, Ballinalee, Co Longford. 

Beloved wife of the late John and much loved mother of Annette and Shaun. Sheila will be dearly missed by her loving family, brothers Jim, Brendan, Vincent, Kevin, Oliver and Frank, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Sheila is also predeceased by her sister Alice and brothers Sean, Joseph, Michael and Patrick.

The family would like to thank in a special way all at Tinnypark Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to Sheila during her time with them. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace. 

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday, October 29 from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary and Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, October 30 at 12noon in St Fiacre's Church, Loughboy. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. House is private please. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed HERE. Flowers are welcome but a donation, in lieu, can be made to Dementia Ireland Empowering Communities HERE.
