Four suspects are being detained by Gardaí in connection with a violent incident and disturbance on Tuesday night.

Officers received a report that a house was allegedly being attacked by a group of four men in the Camlin Mews area of Longford town just before 10pm on Tuesday.

Gardaí quickly rushed to the scene and four men, three of whom were aged in their 20s and a fourth aged in their 30s, were arrested a short time later.

It is understood officers are investigating complaints and one line of inquiry is that the suspects allegedly had weapons such as iron bars and wooden bats.

A Garda spokesman said, "Gardaí received a report of criminal damage to a house in Longford town, at around 9:40pm on 28th October 2025.

"Four men (three in their 20s and one in his 30s) were arrested at the scene and detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

"Investigations are ongoing."
