Frances Keogh (née Hughes), Longford town, Co Longford

The  death occurred peacefully but suddenly at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 11, 2025 of Frances Keogh (nee Hughes), Longford town. 

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Frances will be greatly missed by her heartbroken family; loving husband Tommy, son Jason, daughters Helen and Michelle, daughter-in-law Linda, Helen's partner Dwain, grandchildren Shauna, Rebecca, Cillian and Suzie, great granddaughter Aiyla, brothers Sean and Dennis, sisters Maureen Lambe (Dublin), Bridie Martin (Dublin), Patsy Ganley, Jean Chapman, Sheila Gamble (Derry), Noeli Chambers (Scotland), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Frances' Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, August 13 at 11am in St Mel's Cathedral Longford followed by a private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan. June McDonald (née Rowley), 16 Slìabh View, Mohill, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully, in her 96th year at home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 10, 2025 of June McDonald (née Rowley), Mohill, Co Leitrim 

Predeceased by her husband John. Beloved mother of Thérése (Gallacher), Angela, Deirdre (Filén) and Declan. Sadly missed by her sister Eilish (O’Callaghan), sons-in-law Brian and Jack, daughter-in-law Natalie and her adored grandchildren Siobhán, Orlagh, Grace, Maeve, Matthew, Jamie and Ruairí, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. May June Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home at 16 Sliabh View, Mohill (N41WF96) on Monday August 11 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday August 12 in St Patrick’s Church Mohill at 12 noon, followed by burial in Mohill cemetery.

Thomas Patrick (Pakie Tom) McNamara, Ballykiltyfea, Cloone, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025 of Thomas Patrick McNamara (Pakie Tom), Ballykiltyfea, Cloone, Co. Leitrim.

Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, his granddaughter Megan, his parents and his brother Eugene. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughter Diane and her partner John, son Eugene, daughter-in-law Veronica, sister Mary, his beloved grandchildren; Ellen Rose, Eoghan, Kate, Emma and Abby, niece, nephew, cousins, neighbours and friends. Rest In Peace.

Pakie Tom’s remains will lie in repose in St Mary’s Church, Cloone (N41 V009) on Sunday, August 10 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Pakie Tom’s Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August, 11 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Cloone followed by burial in the local cemetery.

Brendan Reilly, Beaghmore, Carrigallen, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at his home on Friday, August 8, 2025 of Brendan Reilly, Beaghmore, Carrigallen, Leitrim. Beloved husband of the late Marian.

Brendy will be sadly missed by his children Derek, Raymond, Gary and Louise, daughters-in-law Aisling, Sarah, Elaine and son-in-law Norm. Loving and adored Grandfather to Aaron, Osin, Caragh, Rian, Aoife & Sealin. Brendy will be deeply missed by his sister Bridie and brother Philip and by his many friends from near and far, past and present. Predeceased by his brothers Sean and Michael. May his gentle soul rest in peace. 

Reposing at Smyth's Funeral Home High Street Ballinamore (eircode N41TD62) on Wednesday, August 13 from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass will take place in Saint Mary's Church Carrigallen on Thursday, August 14 at 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. Geraldine Murphy, Ballysallagh, Ballynacargy, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family and dear friends on Friday, August 8, 2025 of Geraldine Murphy, Ballysallagh, Ballynacargy, Westmeath. 

Predeceased by her parents, Jim and Josie Murphy. Deeply regretted by her partner Seamus, son Mark, Marks partner Stacey, adored grandsons Mason and Theo,sisters Eileen Mulligan, Mag Murtagh, Jo Price, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and neighbours. May Geraldine's gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing in her home at Ballysallagh (N91v3w2) from 4-7pm on Sunday evening August 10. Funeral Mass on Monday, August 11 at 11am in the Church of the Nativity Ballynacargy, followed by burial in Milltown cemetery (N91 YR78). House strictly private Monday morning please.

Niall Brady, Killadream, Loughduff, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully after an illness borne with dignity and courage on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 of Niall Brady, Harlaxton & Denton, Lincolnshire, England and Killadream, Loughduff, Co Cavan. Recently predeceased by his father Charlie.

Deeply regretted and dearly missed by his beloved children, Ciarán, Ailish and Danny, their mother Lisa, and Ciarán’s fiancée Jo, his mother Detta, his siblings Ann Marie (TP), Fionnuala (Francie), Cathal (Emer), Colm (Róisín) and Shane (Vanda), his nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, his former colleagues in the Kelly Group and his many friends. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasal.

A private family ceremony prior to cremation will take place in Grantham on Monday, August 18, followed by a wake in the Welby Arms, Denton, Grantham, England NG32 1LG at 12:30pm, where all can gather to offer support, remember and celebrate Niall’s life.

Niall’s ashes will be brought to Ireland the following week and will rest at his home in Killadream, Loughduff, Co Cavan (H12C9X7), where all are welcome to meet his family, pay their respects and remember Niall on Friday, August 29 from 4pm to 8pm. Niall’s funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, August 30 at 12 noon in St Joseph’s Church, Loughduff (H12F968) followed by interment of his ashes in the local cemetery. Eileen Sheppard (née Morgan), Bawnboy, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Javea, Spain on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 of Eileen Sheppard (nee Morgan) Bawnboy, Cavan and Javea, Spain and formerly of Ealing, London.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Keith, her parents John and Eileen, and her brothers James, Richard, and Frank. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her brother Carl Morgan (Kells), her sister Anne McManus (Newtownforbes), the extended Sheppard family, her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbours. May Eileen Rest in Peace.
