The death occurred peacefully in the care of St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin on Saturday, January 11, 2025 of Veronica Maguire, 50 St Matthew’s Park, Ballymahon, Co Longford. 

Deeply regretted by her sisters Chris, Tina and Jackie, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Rest In Peace. Reposing at her residence on Tuesday evening, January 14 from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday, January 15 at 12 noon in St Matthew's Church Ballymahon followed by burial in Shrule cemetery.

Kathleen (Kitty) McGlynn (née Fallon), College Park, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home on Monday, January 13, 2025 of  Kathleen (Kitty) McGlynn (nee Fallon), College Park, Longford town. 

Pre-deceased by her parents Michael and Winifred , sisters Angela and Mary and by her beloved husband Bernard. Kitty will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, dear son David, sister Teresa Kyle, brother Pat Fallon, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her residence (N39 R2A2) on Wednesday, January 15 from 4pm until 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, January 16 in St. Mel’s Cathedral at 11am. Interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

Alex O’Sullivan (BE CEng), Tennis Court Lane, Battery Road, Longford town, Co Longford / Curraghroe, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Newbrook Lodge Nursing Home on Monday, January 13, 2025 of Alex O Sullivan (BE CEng), Tennis Court Lane, Battery Road, Longford town/ Curraghroe, Roscommon.

Predeceased by his loving wife Máirín, parents Robert and Florence and by his sisters Kathleen and Sr. Rosemary. Alex will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family; son Robert, daughters Anne and Meabh, sister-in-law Nuala, daughter-in-law Linda, sons-in-law Ian and Colin, grandchildren Ríain, Ólann, Thomas, Joseph, Katherine, Ruairí, Shauna and Cody, brother-in-law John, nephews William and Stewart, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred peacefully, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Ward five at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Saturday, January 11, 2025 of Jack Skelly, Clonmore, Killashee, Longford. Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget, sister Mary Keaveney and by his infant brother Kieran.

Jack will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sister Ann Howley, brothers Denis, Mel, Ernie and Jimmy, sisters-in-law Mary, Margaret, Maura and Eileen, brother-in-law John, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

Michael Brady, Aghadowry, Ballinamuck, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 11, 2025 of Michael Brady, Aghadowry, Ballinamuck, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Alice and his brother Josie.

Deeply mourned by his loving and devoted sister Mary Ellen (Clarke, Hillstreet, Co Roscommon), his loving niece Marie Clarke (Dublin) and his nephew-in-law Neil Darbey (Dublin). He will be remembered fondly by his cousins and by a wide circle of friends and neighbours. I líonta Dé go gcastar sinn.

The death occurred peacefully in the presence of her loving family in the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork on Saturday, January 11, 2025 of Róisín Walsh (née Donlon), Lower Glanmire Road and late of Longford Town, Longford.

Loving wife of Michael and much loved mother of Marguerite (Maggie) and Emma. Dear sister of Leo, Marion (Barden) and the late John. Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughters, son-in-law Niall, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and her canine pet Holly. May Róisín Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Keohane’s of Knights Hill, Old Youghal Rd., Mayfield (T23 D778) Cork on Monday evening, January 13 from 5pm to 6pm, with Prayers at 5:45pm. Reception into St. Patrick’s Church, Lower Glanmire Road, Cork on Tuesday morning, January 14 for Requiem Mass at 10am, after which there will be a Service at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.

Mary Morrisson (née Kearney), Lucan, Dublin / Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Beaumont Hospital on Sunday, January 12, 2025 of Mary Morrisson (née Kearney), Lucan, Co Dublin and formerly of Curraghmore, Kenagh, Co. Longford.  

Beloved wife of the late Michael and cherished mother of Maggie, Anne, Rachel, Yvonne and Iain. Sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, grandchildren Saoirse, Edan, Adam, Iseult, Ellen and Kavan, sons-in-law John and Sean, daughter-in-law Leona, sisters Ita and Kathleen, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Tuesday evening, January 14 from 5pm and 7pm. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Esker, Lucan on Wednesday morning, January 15 arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in Esker Cemetery, Lucan.

Sandra Vaitkeviciene (née Juskeviciute), Drumcleavry, Drumsna, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness borne with dignity and courage on Sunday, January 12, 2025 of Sandra Vaitkeviciene (née) Juskeviciute Drumcleavry, Drumsna, Co Leitrim and formerly of Vainutas, Lithuania.

Predeceased by her father Antanas. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband Tomas and her adored children Vakaris and Perla. Deeply mourned by her mother Maryte and sisters Indre and Ernesta. Sadly missed by her mother-in-law Violeta, father-in-law Stasys, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, her colleagues in Lidl, neighbours and her many friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Sandra will repose at her home in Drumcleavry, Drumsna (N41KO62) on Tuesday, January 14 from 3pm until 5pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, January 15 in St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff (N41CF54) at 11am. The death has occurred peacefully, in her 98th year and in the tender care of the wonderful staff at the Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell on Monday, January 13, 2025 of Eileen Maguire (nee Lee) Main Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.

Predeceased by her husband Tony and son Paul. She will be sadly missed by loving son Francis, daughters-in-law Kay & Lisa, grandchildren Anthony, Lisa (& David), Shannon, Christopher (& Gillian) & Niamh, sister Sheila, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, N41 TD62 on Tuesday evening, January 14 from 6pm until 8pm. Removal from the family home on Main Street on Wednesday morning, January 15 arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Ballinamore for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Oughteragh Cemetery, Ballinamore.

The death occurred on Saturday, January 11, 2025 of Róisín Cryan, Ard Na Sí, Attyrory, Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim / Mayo / Roscommon. Róisín will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family.

Forever cherished daughter of Joe and Marguerite, loving fiancé Conor Loftus, adored sisters Annmarie, Clare, Ruth and Maeve, Clare’s fiancé Eugene, the Loftus family, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours, work colleagues and a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his beloved wife Nuala. Colm will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his son and daughter Niall and Maev, daughter-in-law Eimear, grandson Gus, sisters in law Miriam, Mildred and Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Maura O'Keefe (née Mulligan), Dunbeggan, Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred after a short illness and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 24, 2024 of Maura O'Keefe (née Mulligan), Sutton, Surrey, England and formerly Dunbeggan, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford. Predeceased by her father Paddy, niece Leah, baby Niall and baby Donna. Maura will be forever missed by her husband Michael, daughters Geraldine (Paul), Nicola (Dean), son Gavin and her adoring grandchildren Billy, Jake, Holly, Amy, Ava, Maisey, her mother Maisie, sisters Margaret, Annarose, Martina, Lisa and Celia, brothers Padraig, Seamie, Francie and Barry, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and large circle of friends. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 15 in the Holy Family Church, Sutton Green, Sutton followed by cremation at North East Surrey Crematorium. There will be a Mass in St Colmcille Church to celebrate Maura's life at a later date.

The death occurred on Monday, January 13, 2025 of Francis (Sonny) Redican, Drumroosk North, Fenagh, Leitrim.

Predeceased by his father Frank, his mother Mary, son Francis and daughter Martina. Very sadly missed by his beloved wife Mary, daughters Miriam and Breeda, son Ronan, his sister Josie McGrail, sons-in-law Ian and Graham and daughter-in-law Laura, grandchildren Mark, Emma, Killian, Rachel, Aoife, Brian and Daniel, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends. The death occurred peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family on Sunday, December 15, 2024 of Felix Harten, Birmingham, England and formerly Carnagh Upper, Kilcogy, Co Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Felix and Rose his beloved son Colin sisters Kathleen and Eithne and brother Benny.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Elizabeth sons Phelim (Linda) Thomas (Nicola) Dermot (Franchesca) daughter Mary (Andrew) grandchildren Freddy, Felix and Lizabella, brothers Paddy (Carnagh), James (Navan), sisters and brothers in law, nephews, nieces relatives and a large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

The death occurred unexpectedly on Friday, December 13, 2024 of Sean Kelleher, Nottingham, London and formerly of Mullinadara, Carrigallen, Leitrim. 

Sean will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, his partner Bushra, brother Gerry, sisters Maura (Nicholls),Bernadette (Murray), sister-in-law,brothers-in-law,nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he Rest In Peace.
