Laura Doyle will be in Edgeworthstown Library to have a welcoming chat

Laura Doyle, who launched her book ‘Undelivered. Fertility, Miscarriage And My Journey to Self-Compassion’ on October 11, will be hosting an evening of tea and talk in Edgewortstown Library on December 9 at 7pm.

Published by Book Hub Publishing, ‘Undelivered. Fertility, Miscarriage And My Journey to Self-Compassion’ had previously received lots of local support in the Athena cafe, Longford town, when the book was officially released.

This upcoming event is welcome to all to meet and chat with the local author, whose book was intended to bring conversation and openness around the themes of miscarriage.

"I recently published ‘Undelivered. Fertility, Miscarriage And My Journey to Self-Compassion’. My new book has opened up the often-silent world of fertility difficulties and miscarriage with honesty, courage, and a generous sense of humanity and, dare we say, humour. This won’t be a formal lecture or a heavy night. Think of it more as a cosy, fireside-style conversation with me. It is an opportunity to listen, reflect, and, if you wish, ask questions in a space designed to feel safe, gentle, and deeply respectful. Whether you’ve experienced fertility issues or loss yourself, supported someone who has, or simply want to better understand a topic that touches so many lives in Ireland, you’re welcome exactly as you are.

"There’s no expectation to share anything personal; you’re free to sit back quietly or join the discussion if you feel comfortable. The evening will include: An open, heartfelt conversation with me. A short reading from the book to set the tone. Space for questions, thoughts, or simple curiosity. Time afterwards to chat informally with others over light refreshments. Our aim is simple: to create a warm room where stories are respected, silence is eased, and no one feels alone. We would be delighted to have you with us. Please feel free to bring a friend, a partner, or anyone you feel would enjoy or benefit from the evening. We very much look forward to welcoming you."
