The death occurred peacefully in the tender and compassionate care of the staff and nurses of the Cáirde Unit, St John's Hospital, Sligo on Monday, May 6, 2024 of Anne Cahill (nee Quinn), Mayo, Longford, Mullingar and Sligo. Predeceased by husband Tom. Anne will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her son Tony and daughters BB (Leslie), Eileen (McNamee), Mo Cahill, Jackie Cahill and Trish (Higgins), her dear sister Margaret Murray, cherished grandchildren Tippi, Holly, Peter, Rory, Shay, Tara and Rachael, daughter-in-law Annie, sons-in-law Paul, Stephen, Geoff and Paul, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Matthew Ronan Farrell, Longford / Dublin

The death occurred peacefully in the excellent care of the staff at Ailesbury Nursing Home on Friday, May 3, 2024 of Matthew Ronan Farrell, Longford, London and Dublin. Ronan was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Lena, his siblings Helen, Ita, Toinette, and Tony. His gentle spirit and kind heart touched many lives, leaving a lasting imprint on a wide circle of friends and his extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Agnes Herrera-Mauricio (née Dolan) Kilcoole, Wicklow / Colehill, Longford

The death occurred at St Vincent’s University Hospital on Sunday, May 5, 2024 of Agnes Herrera-Mauricio (née Dolan) of Kilcoole and formerly Tashinney, Colehill, Co Longford and Spain. Predeceased by her husband Yuan, parents Peter and Helen Dolan and siblings Cathy, Patricia and Joe. Sadly missed by her sisters Mary, Helen, Bernadette, Anne and Marion, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 11 at 11 am in St Patrick’s Church, Kilquade followed by private cremation. May she rest in peace.

The death occurred peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 of Ann Joyce (nee O'Leary), Padraic Colum Heights, Longford town. Eileen O'Kane (née Keenan) Drumeel, Ballinalee, Co Longford formerly of Ardagh

The death occurred peacefully, at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, after a long illness, bravely borne of Eileen O'Kane (nee Keenan), Drumeel, Ballinalee, Co Longford and formerly of Ardagh. Predeceased by her beloved husband Denis, daughters Mary and Denise, brother PJ, sisters Nancy and Babs and her adored grandsons Patrick and Mel. Eileen will be forever missed and always remembered with love by her family, daughters Carmel, Martina and Francis, son Kevin, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law and her daughter's partner, her beloved 11 grandchildren, sisters Maureen Rooney (Abbeyshrule) and Nuala Hartnet (Dublin), nieces, nephews, relatives, carers, neighbours and good friends. Mary Sawyer (née Clabby), Lymm, Cheshire, England and formerly Fisherstown, Clondra, Longford

The recent death has occurred peacefully in the loving care of Keate House Nursing Home, Lymm, surrounded by her adored children daughter Sharon, son Stephen, her Grandson Stan, son in law Simon and daughter in law Jane of Mary Sawyer (nee Clabby) late of Lymm, Cheshire, England and formerly Fisherstown, Clondra, Longford.

Predeceased by her loving husband Tom, parents Thomas and Nora. Sadly missed by her sisters Kathleen and Nora, nieces Shirley, Sarah, Elaine and Anita, and nephews Mark and David, brother in law Pat and many friends in Ireland and the UK. 

Mary's funeral mass will take place in Cheshire, England and there will be a memorial mass at a later date in Clondra, Longford.

Doreen Cummins (née Murray) Lacken Lower, Ballinagh, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 of Doreen Cummins (nee Murray), Lacken Lower, Ballinagh, Co Cavan.  Sadly missed by her loving family, Jen, David and Paul. Grandchildren: Fáinne, Oisín, Hannah, Caoimhín and Rían, son in law Dee, daughters in law Jen and Kawing, her brother Joe and his wife Eileen, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Louise and Jack and her beloved sister Jeannè.

Beloved wife of the late Sean, loving mother of John, sister of the late Pat, Kit and John. The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long illness bravely borne on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 of Sean Maguire, Ruislip, Middlesex and formerly of Mullaghmore, Drumreilly, Co Leitrim. Sadly missed by his son, Richard (Roz) and daughter, Sinead (David) and his grandchildren, Darcey, Ethan and Cayden. The death occurred after a short illness on Friday, May 3, 2024 of Catherine Cribbens (nee Devine) Keston, Kent, England and formerly of Barrack Street, Granard Co. Longford. Predeceased by her husband Frank, son Timothy and sister Margaret Boyce. Sadly missed by her sons Nicholas, Jonathan and Simon, her brother James Devine, Mullingar and her sister Anne Donohoe, Creevey, Granard, her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
