The death occurred peacefully, in the devoted care of the staff at Mullingar Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 of Thomas Kelly, Cloonadra, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon and formerly of Carraroe, Lanesboro, Co Longford and Dysart, Co Roscommon. He will be very sadly missed by his sons Niall and Alan, daughter Marina, sister Catherine Gallagher (Curraghboy) and Mary Hadler (U.K.), brothers Richard (Ballyforan), Dan (U.K.) and Jimmy (Isle of Man), daughters-in-law Kim, Kate and Anne, grandchildren Ciara, Michael, Samantha, Fiona, Aidan, Scarlett, Maeve and Saoirse, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many wonderful friends, especially Mary and Caroline. Thomas is predeceased by his beloved son Kenneth, parents Thomas and Anne, sisters Margaret, Bridie, Alice and Nancy, brothers William, Michael, Ted, Peter, Josie and Paddy May Thomas rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth's Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Friday evening, March 1 from 5pm until 7pm followed by removal to St Patrick’s Church, Dysart (H53 DK12). The death occurred at home peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 of Theresa McDermott Quinn, Cloncaulfield, Moydow, Longford. Predeceased by her father Joe, her mother Rita and her brother Sean. Theresa will be deeply missed by her heartbroken family; husband Ronan, son Shane, sister Elizabeth Yorke, brothers Dermot, Richard and Joseph, mother-in-law Teresa Quinn, sisters in law, brothers in law, Shane's partner Cara, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, god-daughters, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, in the tender care of her very devoted family, in her 109th year, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 of Bridget Tierney (née Reilly), Drumgore, Loughduff, Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Patrick, son Vincent, daughter Patricia and brother-in-law Joe, her brothers James and Sonny and her sister Elizabeth. Sadly missed by her adoring family; her daughters Mary, Margaret, Pauline, Betty and Kitty, her sons John and Tom, sons-in-law; John Joe, Peter, John Joe and Colm, daughters-in-law; Maureen and Eileen. Cherished by her 30 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, her sister Kathleen, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her close neighbours and friends.R.I.P.
Bridget will repose at her home in Drumgore on Thursday, February 29 from 5pm-10pm and on Friday, March 1 from 1pm-4.30pm, all welcome during these hours. Removal to St Joseph's Church, Loughduff (H12F968), on Friday evening to arrive for 8pm. Bridget's funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2 at 12pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. (A shuttle bus service will be in operation from Loughduff Church carpark on both evenings).
