The death occurred peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024 of Mary McGee (née Gray), Edenmore, Ballinamuck, Longford. Predeceased by her parents, her husband John, sisters Bridgie, Nellie and Martha, granddaughters Gemma and Martina and by her great-grandson Luke. Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Kathleen Younes, Mary Cox, Ita Flood, Eithne Bessam and Ann Maguire, sons PJ, John F, Martin and Donal, sisters Jo and Janey, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Wednesday, January 31 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, February 1 in St Mary’s Church, Legga at 11am, interment afterwards in Legga Cemetery. The death occurred peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024 of Tom Armstrong, Glenmore, Kenagh, Longford. Predeceased by his parents George and Kathleen and by his sisters Eileen Gallagher and Joan Johnston. Tom will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Marion, daughters Sandra, Glynis and Naomi, son David, sister Grace, grandchildren Abigail, Phoebe, Raimey, Davina, Malcolm, Scott, Christian, Bobbi-Jo and Kathleen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Kathleen (Catherine) Kelly (née Farrell) Ballymakeegan, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Sunset Lodge on Sunday, January 28, 2024 of Kathleen (Catherine) Kelly (nee Farrell), Ballymakeegan, Longford town and formerly of Graffoge, Ardagh. Predeceased by her husband Edward. Kathleen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Ann and Eilish, sons Jimmy, John, Eamon and Aidan, daughters-in-law Judith and Boloro, son-in-law Tim, grandchildren Megan, Eva, James, Aidan, Callum, Ailith and Ermun, great-grandchildren Ciaran, Logan and Jamie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred peacefully at the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore on Monday, January 29, 2024 of Jaroslaw Sobstyl, No 7 Slí na Mona, Ballymahon, Longford. Jaroslaw will be dearly missed by his loving wife Sylvia, daughters Alicja, Paulina and Kate, friend Artur, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in peace.

Paddy Hanley, Carnamaddy, Lecarrow, Roscommon / Longford

The death occurred suddenly, at his home on Monday, January 29, 2024 of Paddy Hanley, Carnamaddy, Lecarrow, Co Roscommon and formerly The Black Islands, Lough Ree, Co Longford. He is predeceased by his sister Maureen. He will be sadly missed by his sister Nancy, nephews Martin and Patrick James, cousins, extended family, good neighbours and friends. May Paddy rest in peace.
Reposing in Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Wednesday evening, January 31 from 4.30pm until 5.30pm followed by removal to St John’s Church, Lecarrow. The death occurred peacefully, with his family by his side, in University Hospital, Sligo on Saturday, January 27, 2024 of John Connor, Cloonshanville, Frenchpark, Co Roscommon, former Fine Gael TD, Senator and Councillor. February 14, 1944 – January 27, 2024.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by his sisters Margaret (Cady) and Anne (Gallagher), brothers-in-law Gerry and Brendan, nephews John, Barry, Paul, Jarlath and Ulick and their families Karey, Rebekah, Cecilia, Claudine, Erin, Milena, Nicolás, James, Ellie, Abby, Isabel, Henry and Heidi, to Pat and Margaret Moran, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends. The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of his family and the wonderful staff in Castlemanor on Sunday, January 28, 2024 of Terence O'Reilly, 13 Marion Row, Ballinagh and Castlemanor Nursing Home, Drumalee, Cavan.
Predeceased by his father Terence O'Reilly, his mother Mary Gaffney, sister Mary Maguire and his brother Peter. Terence will be very sadly missed by his sister Kathleen Johnston, his brother in law Mark, his nephews, nieces, the staff, residents and friends in Castlemanor, all his extended family and friends. Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan (H12C821), on Tuesday evening, January 30 from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, January 31 at 11am in St Felim's Church, Ballinagh followed by burial in the family plot in the new cemetery.

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 27, 2024 of JP Fanning, Drumlaheen, Fenagh, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary-Jane, sister Eilish, brother Leo and his brother-in-law Brendan Beirne (November 16, 2023). Lynda (Martha) Curr (née Bystram) Allenbrook, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim

The death occurred of Lynda (Martha) Curr (nee Bystram) of Allenbrook, Drumshanbo Co Leitrim, formerly of Shearwater, Woking, Surry, England. My wife Lynda (Martha) was from a large wonderful family (Bystram) too extensive to name here, they all loved her dearly and will miss her as long as they live on. We have two children, Stephen (Alfie), and Hannah. Seven grandchildren, Joseph, Luca, Finn, Taeya, Sunee, Felix and Laila. We are all lost for words to say how much she will be missed. Bernadette (Bernie) Youngs (née Cusack) London and formerly of Garrymore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at Kings College Hospital, London on Thursday, January 4, 2024 of Bernadette (Bernie) Youngs (nee Cusack), London and formerly of Garrymore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Martin Youngs. Much loved mother of Shane and Siobhan Youngs. Sadly missed by her granddaughter Erin Youngs, her brother Owen Cusack and sisters Kathleen Coyle, Agnes O’Connor, Rose O’Shea and Frances Foy, her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing in St Mary of the Crays Church, Crayford on Wednesday, January 31 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral service at 10:30am on Thursday, February 1 followed by cremation at Eltham Crematorium at 12:30.
