The death occurred suddenly but peacefully, in the care of the wonderful staff at The Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 of Orla Poole (née McCarthy), Legan, Longford. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Keith, adored children Abigail, Keith and Aoibheann, parents Bernard and Jenny, brother Fintan, sister Jessica, brother-in-law Graeme, sister-in-law Carmel, nephews Josh, Jamie and Max, uncles, aunts, cousins, father-in-law Tony, mother-in-law Dolores, her loving colleagues in The Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, relatives, many good friends and neighbours.

Geoffrey (Geoff) R Smith, Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck, Longford
The death occurred unexpectedly in Hull, North Yorkshire on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 of Geoffrey (Geoff) R Smith, Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck, Co. Longford (formerly of Liverpool, England). Predeceased by his wonderful parents Marjorie and George, parents-in-law Lizzy and Fintan Morris.
Geoff will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Brenda, his cherished son Daniel, partner Beth and his baby grandson George, who was born on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. His beloved sisters Elaine and Janet, his brothers-in-law Alan, Mark, Willie, Colm, Sean (Morris), Sean (Browne), John and Fintan, sisters-in-law Marian, Teresa, Helen and Elizabeth. his Aunts-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephew. All his cousins, neighbours and many friends around the world.

The death occurred on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 of Grainne Hussey, Devine Crescent, Edgeworthstown, Longford. Reunited with her beloved parents Mickey and Molly, her dear sister Deirdre and baby brother Michael. Grainne will be dearly missed and always remembered by her heartbroken family, brothers Raymond and Michael, sisters Jennifer, Sandra, Sinead and Oonagh, sister-in-law Paula, and all her nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Grainne's Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 13 in St. Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown, at 11am, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd., Cavan at 1.30pm. The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 of Rosemary Valentine (née McDonald), formerly of Omagh, Irvinestown and Longford. Predeceased by her husband Jim, sons Dominic and Barry and brother Brian. Rosemary will be sadly missed and remembered by sons – Damian (Navan), Edward, Gabriel (Boyle) and Darragh, daughters in law/partners - Caroline, Jackie, Bernie and Alaa, sisters – Jean (Manchester), Eileen, Ann and Brother – Aidan (Omagh), adored grandchildren Jennifer, Simon, Mark, Emma, Leia, Matthew, Aoife, Danny, Laura and Grace and great-grandchildren Penny, Teddy and Jude, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Rosemary will repose at Laurel Lodge Chapel, Longford on Thursday, January 11 from 2:30pm – 5pm. Removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Irvinestown Co. Fermanagh arriving at 7pm on Thursday. Mass of the Resurrection takes place on Friday, January 12 at 11am and burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed on Devenish Parish Webcam.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, Daughters Philomena (Enniskillen), Josephine (Carrick on Shannon), and Deirdre (Drumshanbo) and partners, beloved grandchildren Mark and Evanna, brothers Pat (Birmingham) and Eugene (Carrick on Shannon), sisters in law Jacqueline and Rose, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours. Remains will be reposing at St Patrick's hospital Carrick on Shannon on Thursday, January 11 from 5pm to 8pm. House strictly private. The death occurred on Sunday, December 3, 2023 of Maxwell Bennett (Ledwith), Wood End, Coventry, UK and formerly of Ballinafid, Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath. Max will be received into St Patrick's RC Church, Deedmore Rd, Coventry on Thursday, January 11 at 5pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, January 12 at 10.30am followed by Cremation at Canley Crematorium in the Cannon Chapel. Afterwards at Stoke Boys Rugby Club where a celebration of Max's life will continue. Donations would be gratefully received for Coventry Moyton Hospice Clifford Bridge Rd Coventry CV2 2HJ.
