Margaret Orr (née Geraghty) Springlawn, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 of  Margaret Orr (nee Geraghty), Springlawn, Longford town. Predeceased by her mother Joan, father Michael and by her daughter Hazel. Margaret will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family sons Jason and Robert, daughters-in-law Emma and Aoife, grandchildren Sophie and Cillín, sisters Mary and Agnes, brothers John, Michael and Patrick, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81), on Sunday, November 26 from 5.00pm concluding with prayers at 7.00pm. Helen Kelly (née McLoughlin), Ballymorris, Granard, Longford / Strokestown, Roscommon / Ballinalack, Westmeath


The death occurred, peacefully at Mullingar General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, following a life filled with kindness and love, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 of Helen Kelly (nee McLoughlin), Ballymorris, Granard, Co Longford, formerly of Curry, Strokestown, Co Roscommon and Ballinalack, Co Westmeath. Predeceased by her father Pat, mother Peg, sister Veronica and infant sister Caroline. Helen will be sadly missed by her husband Edward, sons Enda, Glen and Fergus, daughters-in-law Michelle, Joanne and Anna, grandchildren Darragh, Lucy, Olivia, Mark, Jack, Erin, Adam, Freya, Sarah and Ben, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends and special neighbours. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at The Manor, Edgeworthstown on Friday, November 24 from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral mass will be held at St Mary's Church, Granard, on Saturday, November 25 at 12pm, followed by burial in Granardkille New Cemetery. Family flowers only please. James Heavey, Clonbalt Woods, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St Joseph’s Care Centre in his 93rd year, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 of James Heavey, Clonbalt Woods, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by his wife Maria (Yvonne) and by his brother Bart (U.S.A.). Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sons James and Martin, grandchildren Shane, Grace, Alana, Aston and Jayden, great-grandchildren Latanna, Bonnie and Abigail, daughters-in-law Toon and Julianna, sisters Jodie, Annie (U.S.A), Kitty (U.S.A.) and Mary (U.S.A.), brothers Martin and Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

The death occurred peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 of Joseph (Joe) Kelly, Cloncullen, Ballymahon, Co Longford. Predeceased by his wife Mary Ann. Deeply regretted by his loving sons and daughters. His brother, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives,friends and neighbours. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his residence (N39 TK76) this Friday afternoon, November 24 from 4pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 25 at 12.30pm in the church of the Sacred Heart Carrickedmond followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick Slevin, Kilderreen, Ballinalee, Longford, N39 YA30


The death occurred suddenly and peacefully at his home on Monday, November 22, 2023 of Patrick Slevin, Kilderreen, Ballinalee, Longford. Deeply regretted by his loving family, his mother Doreen, his wife Therese, his loving son and daughter, Alex and Sophie. His grandchildren Jackson and Layton, mother-in-law Bernie, daughter-in-law Sarah Jane, his sisters and extended family and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his family home this Thursday evening, November 23 from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral mass on Friday, November 24 in St James Church Clonbroney (N39 WN20) at 11am followed by burial in the old Graveyard Street, Co Westmeath.

Michael Reilly, Staplestown, Donadea, Kildare / Ballinamuck, Longford

The death occurred suddenly at home on Monday, November 20, 2023 of Michael Reilly, Staplestown, Donadea, Co Kildare and late of Ballinamuck, Co Longford. Beloved father of late Michael Jnr., deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, sons Damien and Philip, daughters Aisling and Niamh, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sisters Maisie and Evelyn, brother Peter (R.I.P.)., brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his residence on Thursday, November 23 from 4pm - 8pm with evening prayers at 7pm. Sr Jacinta Cullinan, McAuley House, Roscommon Town, Roscommon / Ballinagare, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully, at Mullingar General Hospital on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 of Sr Jacinta Cullinan formerly of Ballinagare, Co Roscommon and McAuley House, Roscommon Town.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Catherine, brothers Frank, Bartley and Michael (Miko) and her sisters Gretta and Teresa. Jacinta will be very sadly missed by her sister Anne O’Neill, sisters-in-law Rhona Cullinan and Teresa Cullinan, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, by her many relatives and friends, the Mercy Sisters Western Province, her community in McAuley House and her colleagues and friends in St Michael’s School, Castlerea. May Jacinta rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Friday, November 24 from 4pm until 5.30pm followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, November 25 at 11am. Burial afterwards in Drummin Cemetery, Ballingare, Castlerea, Co Roscommon. No flowers by her request. The death occurred peacefully at The Mater Hospital, Dublin surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 18, 2023 of Anne Marie Bohan (née Moore), Drumnid, Mohill, Co Leitrim and formerly of Leeds, United Kingdom. Predeceased by her parents; Patrick and Mary Moore and her brother; Jimmy. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband; Gerry, son; Gerard, daughters; Bernadette, Maria and Fiona and their partners; Kayleigh, David, Robert and Ben, sister; Bernie, aunt; Peggy, uncle; Sean, adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister-in-law; Maureen, niece; Katrina, nephew; Kieron, extended family, neighbours and friends. The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff Esker Lodge, Nursing home, Cavan on Friday, November 24, 2023 of Margaret Ging, née Flynn, Tycusker, Arva and late of Drumsilla, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim.  
Predeceased by her husband John and her parents Mary Ellen and James, brothers Sean, Jim and Pat. Sadly missed by her loving sons John (Margie), Michael (Carol), daughters Sharon (Mark), Camila (Jed), brother Michael (Margaret), Killahurk, sisters, Sr. Camilla (Presentation sisters, Clondalkin, Mary (USA), grandchildren, Shannon, Erin, Connor and Kenzy, niece Michelle (Lyndon), grand-niece Maisie, grand nephew Harry, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 of Thomas (Tommy) Kiernan, The Old School, Drumbreanlis, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his parents; Tom-Eddie and Maureen. Beloved husband of Patricia. Tommy will be sadly missed by his wife; Patricia, brothers; John (Sheila), Jim (Miriam), Noel (Rosemary), Gerry (Rebecca), sisters; Ann and Kitty (Liam), nephews, nieces, grandnieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Tommy reposed at Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim (Eircode N41 TD62) on Thursday, November 23 from 2pm - 5pm, followed by removal to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Carrigallen (Eircode H12 AK84) at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning, November 24 at 11am followed by private cremation, to family only, in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 3pm.
