The death occurred suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 24, 2023 of Patrick (Paddy) Croghan, Cloncallow, Ballymahon, Co Longford and formerly of Drumeel, Ballinalee, Co Longford. Predeceased by his wife Margaret, son Dermot and granddaughter Sarah. Patrick will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sons Paraic and Joseph, daughters Colette, Breda, Bronagh, Edel and Claire, his loving partner Una and her family, sisters Kathleen and Bridie, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace Patrick.
Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, Longford, N39 KN66, on Wednesday, September 27 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 28 at 1pm in St James's Church, Clonbroney. Following Mass, Patrick will be laid to rest in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. House private at all times, please.

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 25, 2023 of Margaret (Maggie) Kirwan, Slyhaun, Legan, Co Longford.
Predeceased by her sisters Mary Shanny and Kathleen Moran and brother Bill Kirwan. Deeply regretted by her loving son John, brother Mike Kirwan (England), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. "Of all the gifts that life has to offer, a loving mother is the greatest of them all". Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Our Lady's Manor on Wednesday evening, September 27 from 6pm with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 28 in St Mary's Church, Legan at 11am. Burial afterwards in Old Kilglass Cemetery.
Anne Farnan (née Hughes), Hammondstown, Ballymanus, Castlepollard, Westmeath

The death occurred peacefully, in the loving care of her family and the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 of Anne Farnan (née Hughes), Hammondstown, Ballymanus, Castlepollard, Westmeath. Predeceased by her husband Matthew and son Patrick. Sadly missed by her sons Sean, Liam, Nigel, daughters Audrey and Vanessa, grandchildren, sister Maureen, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Anne Rest In Peace.
Reposing at her son Liam's residence at Water Street, Castlepollard (N91 E207), on Friday, September 29 from 3pm, concluding with prayers at 6pm, followed by removal to the Church of Ss Brigid and Fiach, Ballinacree, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 30 at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The family appreciates your kind co-operation at this sad time.
Liam Connellan, Foxrock, Dublin / Strokestown, Roscommon
The death occurred in the wonderful care of all the staff at Newtownpark House surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 of Liam Connellan, Foxrock, Dublin 18 and formerly of Strokestown, Co Roscommon. Liam, dearly loved husband of the late Marie, father of Rachel, Paul, Brendan, Liam and David; eldest brother of Rita, Seamus, Dermot, Mary and the late John; sadly missed by his children, brothers and sisters, Rachel’s partner Maurice, daughters-in-law Beth, Alexia, Triona and Christiane, his grandchildren Laura, Sophia, Catherine, Sabiha, Anna, Liam and Cashel and by a wide circle of relatives and friends.
Reposing Friday, September 29 in Quinn’s Funeral Home, Glasthule from 3.30pm with removal to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Foxrock arriving for 5pm. Funeral Saturday, September 30 after 10am Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/foxrock to Shanganagh Cemetery. No flowers please. House private. “Sing a new song to the Lord for he has worked wonders”.
Brinsley Matthews, Crover, Lough Sheelin, Mountnugent, Cavan

The death occurred peacefully at his home in Florida on Monday, September 4 of Brinsley P Matthews, Crover, Lough Sheelin, Cavan and Palm Beach, Florida. Brinsley (Paul) son of the late Vincent and Anita Matthews, Crover. Sadly missed by his sister Linda and his brothers Maurice, Ronan, Vincent, Alan, Denis and Damien. Rest In Peace.
