Sean McNally, Lisnanagh, Edgeworthstown, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully in the presence of his family and in the care of the staff of The Mater Hospital, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 of Sean McNally, Lisnanagh, Edgeworthstown, Longford. Sadly missed by his loving family, wife Miriam (nee Hopkins), sons Pearse and Ciarán , brothers Tom, Andy, Peter and Francis, sisters Rose, Julia,Violet and Jeanne, mother-in-law Julia Hopkins (Ferefad), brothers -in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown on Friday, August 25 from 4pm with prayers at 7pm.  Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 26 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown. Burial afterwards in Aughafin Cemetery.

Eilish Mulligan (née McKiernan), Cahanagh, Longford / Leitrim


The death occurred, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Tullamore Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 of Eilish Mulligan (née McKiernan), Cahanagh, Longford, formerly of Fenagh, Co Leitrim. Retired school teacher (Stonepark National School). Predeceased by her parents Lily and Jim-Joe.
Eilish will be sadly missed by her beloved husband and life long friend Joey, her sister Noreen Burns and brothers Sean and Seamus, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many dear friends. A gentle nature, a heart of gold, these are the memories we will hold. Rest in Peace Eilish.
Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, N39 KN66, on Friday, August 25 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral cortege will arrive to St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes, on Saturday 26, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Fenagh Abbey Cemetery, Co Leitrim.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired, to the Dialysis Unit, Tullamore Regional Hospital, c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. Family home private at all times please.

Mary Keogh (née Meyler), Foynes Court, Longford Town, Longford / Duncormick, Wexford


The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St Joseph's Care Centre, Longford, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 of Mary Keogh (née Meyler), formerly of Drumlish, Co Longford and William Street and Duncormick, Co Wexford. Predeceased by her husband Tom, son Thomas, parents Laurence and Sarah, sisters Betty and Eileen, brothers Jimmy, Paddy and Larry. Mary will be sadly missed by her sons Larry and Michael, daughters-in-law Geraldine and Anne, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) this Thursday evening, August 24 from 5pm to 7pm. Prayers at 7pm. Funeral mass on Friday morning, August 25 at 11am in St Mary's Church, Drumlish with burial afterwards in local cemetery. House strictly private please. Donations to St Joseph's Care Centre, Longford in lieu of flowers.

Mary Beirne, Pembroke Road, Donnybrook, Dublin / Strokestown, Roscommon


The death occurred, In the wonderful care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 of Mary Beirne, Pembroke Road, Donnybrook, Dublin / Strokestown, Roscommon. A cherished sister, aunt and friend, Mary's grace and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. Predeceased by her devoted parents Michael and Margaret, and her brother Joey. Mary is survived by her heartbroken sisters Emily and Jude, her brother Tom and his wife Mary, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends. 
 Mary's legacy of love, laughter and wisdom will be carried on through the many memories and the hearts she touched. Her independent spirit and kind heart will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.
Reposing at the home of her sister Emily (Lyons) at Lamagh, Newtownforbes, Co Longford, from 4:30pm to 7pm on Friday, August 25. Removal on Saturday morning, August 26 to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strokestown, to arrive for Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Burial afterwards in Strokestown Cemetery. House private please at all other times.

Paul Carty, Scramogue, Roscommon / Ballygar, Galway


The death occurred peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023 of Paul Carty, Scramogue, Roscommon / Ballygar, Galway. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his parents, Andy and Angela, brother Gerard, sisters Carol and Niamh, nieces Ellen and Sarah, nephews Ronan, Niall, Finn and Aidan, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Leavy's Funeral Home, Scramogue, Co Roscommon (F42 FD78), on Thursday, August 24 from 6:30pm, with removal to St. Anne's Church, Scramogue at 8pm. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Friday, August 25 followed by burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Mary McLoughlin (née Kilcoyne) Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath


The death occurred peacefully, in the loving care of the Matron and staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Monday, August 21 of Mary McLoughlin (née Kilcoyne), Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.
Predeceased by her husband Michael and parents Peter and Ann (Kilcoyne). Sadly missed by Peter, Theresa, her sister Nora (England), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends. May Mary Rest In Peace.
Reposing at the Hospital Mortuary, Castlepollard Road, Mullingar on Wednesday, August 23 from 4.30pm to 7pm, followed by removal to the Church of St John the Baptist, Whitehall, arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 24 at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Bridget Teresa McKeon (née Daly), Aughnacliffe, Co Longford


The death occurred on Thursday, August 3, 2023 of Bridget Teresa McKeon (née Daly), Chadwell Heath, Essex, late of Forest Gate, London and Manchester and formerly of Aughnacliffe, Co Longford.
Beloved wife of Francis (Frank). Devoted mother to Francis, Anthony and Paul. She will be sadly missed by her husband, sons, sister Philomena (Fox), sister-in-law Rose Reilly, her cherished grandchildren Keeleigh, Daniel and Holly, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and her many friends in London, Manchester and Co Longford. May she rest in peace.
Removal from Smith's Funeral Home, Granard (N39AX97) on Thursday evening, September 7 to St Colmcille’s Church, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford (N39K603) arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, September 8 at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Gerry Dolan, Callanagh, Kilcogy, Cavan


The death occurred, suddenly and unexpectedly after a short illness in London, on Thursday, August 17, 2023 of Gerry Dolan, Callanagh, London and Callanagh, Kilcogy. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Bonnie, his brother Martin and his nephew Marty. Sadly missed by his heartbroken brothers Seamus (Josie), Declan, John (Cathy), sisters Ann (Martin), Brid, Margaret (John), his devoted nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and special mention to his London colleagues and many friends at home and abroad. His giant presence will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at A. Frank Funeral Home, Holborn office, 45 Lambs Conduit Street, WC1N 3NH, on Thursday August 31 from 2-7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, September 1 in St Aloysius Church, Phoenix Road, London NWI ITA  followed by cremation in Golders Green Crematorium. Philip Bernard (Ben) Donoghue, Radlett, Hertfordshire and formerly of Garadice, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim
The death occurred peacefully at home in the loving care of his family on Thursday, August 3, 2023 of  Philip Bernard Donoghue (Ben), Radlett, Hertfordshire and formerly of Garadice, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by his mother Bridget and father Peter and brother Joseph. Forever missed by his beloved wife Elizabeth, their children, Peter, Eithne, Joseph, Sharon, Claire and Tina, daughters-in-law Fiona and Monika, sons-in-law John, David, Gary and Philip, his treasured grandchildren, John, Sarah, Niall, Erin, Connor, Ruairi, Josie, Ben, Ollie, Matthew, Christina, Lily and Alex and great-grandson Alfie, sister Sr Eithne, his extended family, and countless friends.

Mary Anne (Marie) Reynolds (née Lynch) Castlepollard, Co Westmeath


The deathoccurred on Tuesday August 1, 2023 of Mary Anne (Marie) Reynolds (nee Lynch), Streatham, London and Warlingham, Surrey and  late of Castlepollard, Co Westmeath. Wife of the late JP (Seamus) Reynolds (RIP March 28, 2020), late of Belturbet. Deeply missed by daughters Mary and Siobhan, brother Sean, grandchildren Conor, Ronan, Niamh, Sophie and Juliette, extended family and friends.
Requiem Mass at 11.30am in St Ambrose Catholic Church, Warlingham on Tuesday,  August 29, 2023. Burial to follow at All Saints Churchyard, Warlingham. May she Rest in Peace.
