Imelda Staunton (née Murtagh) Creevy House, Creevy, Granard, Longford, formerly 84 Retreat Park, Athlone


The death occurred peacefully in the loving and tender care of the staff at Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 13, 2023 of Imelda Staunton (nee Murtagh), Creevy House, Creevy, Granard, Co Longford and formerly 84 Retreat Park, Athlone.
Predeceased by her husband Liam, parents Peter and Kathleen, brother Fintan, sisters Maureen, Lena, Clare, Frances and Kathleen. Imelda will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving family, son Cathal, daughter-in-law Tracey, her adored grandchildren Liam, Gary and Isobel, sister Anna, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. May She Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Creevy House, Creevy, Granard, Co Longford, on Tuesday, August 15 from 2pm to 9pm. Removal on Wednesday, August 16 to St Mary’s Church, Carra, Co Longford for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by Christian burial in Coosan Cemetery, Athlone, arriving at 3pm approx. House private Tuesday morning, August 15 please. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Manor Private Nursing Home.

Michael Martin, Lahausk, Strokestown, Roscommon / Tulsk, Roscommon


The death occurred peacefully, in his ninety-fifth year, surrounded by his nephews and nieces, in the loving care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle on Sunday, August 13, 2023 of Michael (Mike) Martin Lahausk, Strokestown, Co Roscommon/ Tulsk, Roscommon. Predeceased by his mother Winifred, father Patrick, sister Helena (Rushe), brothers Thomas and Patrick, and nephew Tommy. Sadly missed by his loving nephews, nieces, sister-in-law Myra, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Wednesday evening, August 16 from 5.30pm until 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning August 17 to St Catherine's Church, Killina, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Killina Cemetery. The Martin family is grateful for your prayers and support at this time.

Philip Bernard (Ben) Donoghue, Radlett, Hertfordshire and formerly of Garadice, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim
The death occurred peacefully at home in the loving care of his family on Thursday, August 3, 2023 of  Philip Bernard Donoghue (Ben), Radlett, Hertfordshire and formerly of Garadice, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by his mother Bridget and father Peter and brother Joseph. Forever missed by his beloved wife Elizabeth, their children, Peter, Eithne, Joseph, Sharon, Claire and Tina, daughters-in-law Fiona and Monika, sons-in-law John, David, Gary and Philip, his treasured grandchildren, John, Sarah, Niall, Erin, Connor, Ruairi, Josie, Ben, Ollie, Matthew, Christina, Lily and Alex and great-grandson Alfie, sister Sr Eithne, his extended family, and countless friends.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 10am at Our Lady, St Mary of Walsingham, Haseldine Road, London Colney, AL2 1RR followed by burial at Allum Lane Cemetery, Allum Lane, Elstree, WD6 3NL. Barry (Simon) Reilly, Texas, USA and formerly, Kilcogy, Cavan
The death occurred  surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 12, 2023 of Barry (Simon) Reilly, 2521 Crosstimbers H4, Huntsville Texas, USA (formerly Kilcogy, Co Cavan).
Predeceased by his brothers Joe and Jimmy. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Theresa (née Breaden), daughters Dervla and Sian, sister Alice Cotterell (Longford), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, his good friend Clifford Kelly, neighbours and his friends both in the US and Ireland. May he rest in peace.
A Ceremony followed by Cremation will take place on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, 5pm to 7pm at the Sam Houston Memorial funeral home. Mass will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Mullahoran at a later date.

Pat Rogers, Ardsallagh, Roscommon Town, Roscommon / Tulsk, Roscommon


The death occurred, peacefully in the devoted care of Breda and all the staff at Innis Ree Lodge, Ballyleague on Monday, August 14, 2023 of Pat Rogers, Ardsallagh, Roscommon Town and formerly of Castleruby, Tulsk, Co Roscommon.  He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Nuala, sons Dara, Ronan and Brian, sisters Mary, Pauline and Geraldine, brothers Michael and Bernie, daughters-in-law Liz and Breege, grandchildren Heather, Rian and Aran, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, former colleagues at Roscommon CBS and friends. Pat is predeceased by his beloved sister Eileen. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Tuesday evening, August 15 from 5.30pm until 7pm. Removal from his home on Wednesday morning, August 16 at 10.30am arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery. Mary Anne (Marie) Reynolds (née Lynch) Castlepollard, Co Westmeath


The deathoccurred on Tuesday August 1, 2023 of Mary Anne (Marie) Reynolds (nee Lynch), Streatham, London and Warlingham, Surrey and  late of Castlepollard, Co Westmeath. Wife of the late JP (Seamus) Reynolds (RIP March 28, 2020), late of Belturbet. Deeply missed by daughters Mary and Siobhan, brother Sean, grandchildren Conor, Ronan, Niamh, Sophie and Juliette, extended family and friends.
Requiem Mass at 11.30am in St Ambrose Catholic Church, Warlingham on Tuesday,  August 29, 2023. Burial to follow at All Saints Churchyard, Warlingham. May she Rest in Peace.

Margaret Walsh, Glenview, Garrymore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan / Beaumont, Dublin


The death occurred peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 10, 2023 of Margaret Walsh, Glenview, Garrymore, Ballinagh, Cavan, late of Beaumont, Dublin 9. Predeceased by her son Darren, sister Brenda, father-in-law Tony. Margaret will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken family, her beloved husband and best friend Ray, stepsons Kieron and Paul, daughters in law Debbie and Antoinette, sister Shirley, her adored grandchildren, Caoilfhionn and Síofra, mother-in-law Kathleen, brother-in-law John and his wife Ann, nephews, nieces, all her extended family, neighbours, and many friends. Rest in Peace.
A private cremation to take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan. A special thank you to the Oncology unity in Cavan General Hospital and the Community Palliative Care Team for all their excellent kindness and support. The Walsh family would like to thank you all for your cooperation and understanding at this difficult time. House private, please.
