The death occurred, Peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 9, 2023 of Mary Lyons, Ardagh, Longford, N39 YK61. Godmother to her beloved Melanie. Sadly missed also by her sisters Margaret (Shawcross) and Patricia (Shaw), her brothers Paddy, Paschal and John, her nephew John and his wife Laura (San Francisco), cousins, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at home on Monday, July 10 from 5pm with prayers at 8pm. Removal to St Brigid's Church, Ardagh, on Tuesday, July 11 arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass may be viewed online here.

The death occurred, peacefully, in the presence of her loving family, in the tender care of Roscommon Hospice on Saturday, July 8, 2023 of Veronica (Vera) Lindsay, Essex Lawn, Boyle Road, Roscommon Town and formerly of Cloontuskert, Ballyleague, County Roscommon. Devoted and much loved mother of Sarah, Vera will be deeply missed by her daughter, Sarah’s father Kevin Swan, sisters Mary and Christina (Fannon), brothers JT, Pat and Paul, brother-in-law Padraig Fannon, sister-in-law Anne Lindsay, nieces Margaret, Tara and Ashling, nephews Michael, Patrick, Shane and James, grandnieces Beth, Alice, Muireann and Penelope, grandnephews Ezra and James, Sarah’s partner Kaylee, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Pat and Sarah, her brother Seán, infant brother Gerard, and sister-in-law Myra Lindsay. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam Dilís.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon, F42 NH27, on Monday evening, July 10 from 5pm until 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, July 11 at 12 noon in the Holy Rosary Church, Ballyleague followed by burial in Cloontuskert Cemetery. Family flowers only. The death occurred on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 of Mary Corcoran (nee O'Donnell), Templemichael Terrace, Longford town. Predeceased by her parents and by her husband John.
Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Geraldine, Mary and Ellie, sisters Ellie and Ann, brothers Simon and Anthony, grandchildren, great – grandchild, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

The death occurred, peacefully with his family by his side, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 of Thomas Martin Ghee, Cowley, Oxford and formerly Briskil, Newtownforbes, Co Longford. Predeceased by his parents John and Brigid. Tom will be sadly missed and remembered with love by Pat and his children Marie, Liam, Michael and Ryan, his cherished grandchildren Shannon, Keira, Isabelle, George and Lily. The death occurred peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home Rooskey on Friday, July 7, 2023 of Mary McNally (nee Cunnion), Cattan, Mohill, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her late husband Frank, her parents James and Margaret and her brothers Thomas and Patrick. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons Michael and Pat (Longford), daughter in law Elizabeth, granddaughter Shauna, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Predeceased by his parents Eva and Frank, brothers Patrick and Michael (Mike), sisters Mai, Josephine and Patricia. Dearly missed by her husband Ned, children Julie, Danny, Ed and Pearse, daughters-in-law Mel and Siobháin, brothers and sisters Bernie, Ger, Nuala, Martina, Peter, Chris, Paul and Donal, and grandchildren Maria, Zoe, Finn, Oisín and Cian. The death occurred peacefully at Lough Erril Private Nursing Home, Mohill, Co Leitrim of Eddie McGarty, Adoon, Gorvagh, Co Leitrim. Born June 12, 1930 and passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023. Eddie was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Bridget, siblings, Francis, Michael, Molly, Peter, James (Jim). Eddie is survived by his brother Sean and sister-in-law Patricia. The death occurred following a brief illness, on Sunday, July 2, 2023 of Hughie Smith, Ballysallagh, Ballynacargy, Co. Westmeath & Alexander Ave, Yonkers, New York, formerly of Teeboy, Corlough, Co Cavan & Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Hughie will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sheila (Sheridan), his brothers & sisters Paddy (Barbara), Mary (John) Walsh, Lena Smith, Johnny Smith, Pauline (John) Hewitt and Patricia (Eugene) McCormack. His 16 nephews and nieces will miss him along with his many grand-nephews, grand-nieces, his many beloved cousins in Ireland and England and his sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law. Hughie’s passing is also deeply mourned by his many friends, neighbours, sporting and former work colleagues here and in the States.
A Celebration of Hughie's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York, on Friday, July 7 from 4pm until 8 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at Saint Barnabas Church located at 409 E 241st St, Bronx, New York, on Saturday, July 8 at 11am. Hughie will repose at Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim N41 TD62 this Sunday afternoon, July 9 from 4.30pm until 6pm and on Monday, July 10 at his home in Ballysallagh, Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath N91 YV99 from 10am until 9pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 11 at 11am in the Church of the Nativity, Ballynacargy followed by burial in Sonna Cemetery. May Hughie rest in peace.
