Pauline Smyth, 'Iowa', Ballyleague, Roscommon / Granard, Longford

The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at University Hospital Galway, on Thursday, June 29, 2023 of Pauline Smyth, ‘Iowa’, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon and formerly of Castlenugent, Granard, Co Longford. Pauline was deeply loved by her late husband, Sean Farrell, and her two children Adam and Leah. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Pat, Mary, Beryl and Jeanne, brothers Edward, Philip, Matt, Mel, James and Kevin and their partners, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins along with her wide circle of friends. May She rest in peace.
House is private. Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon (N39 HV52) on Sunday afternoon, July 2 at 1pm followed by a private cremation ceremony.

Thomas Hevehan, Clonmee, Newtowncashel, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, on Friday, June 23, 2023 of Thomas Hevehan, Clonmee, Newtowncashel, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Bridget. Thomas will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, sisters Margaret and Christine, brother Patrick, sister-in-law Catherine, nieces, nephew, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Saturday, July 1 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Michael Heslin, Drumharkin, Cloone, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully at The North West Hospice, Sligo surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 of Michael Heslin Drumharkin Glebe, Streamstown, Cloone, Co Leitrim. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife; Maureen, daughters; Michelle (David Reilly, Carrigallen) and Louise (Declan McCloskey, Ballintogher, Sligo), sister; Anna Minogue (Dublin), brother-in-law Ben Minogue, grandchildren; Cian, Daryl, Noah, Ría, Kaiden and Teagan, cousins, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Michael will repose at his family home (Eircode N41 PT98) on Friday, June 30 from 4pm – 8pm and on Saturday, July 1 from 4pm – 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St Mary’s Church, Cloone on Sunday, July 2 at 1.30pm followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery. Please note that there will be no 10am mass in Cloone on Sunday morning. Sr Cecilia Anne O'Rourke, Shalom Nursing Home, Kilcock, Kildare / Newtowngore, Leitrim
The death occurred peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Shalom Nursing Home Kilcock, Co Kildare on Thursday, June 29, 2023 of Sr Cecilia Anne O'Rourke, formerly Killerin, Newtowngore, Co Leitrim, Presentation Sisters Drogheda, Portlaoise, Maynooth and Kildare.
Predeceased by her parents Francis and Jane Anne, brothers Tosh, Alphonsus and Ligouri and sister Mary Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by her sister-in-law Peggy, her nephew Gerard and his wife Anne Marie, grandniece Leah, grandnephew Niall, her presentation community, relatives, past pupils and friends. Rest In Peace.
Reposing in Shalom Nursing Home on Friday, June 30 from 3pm to 5pm, followed by evening prayers and removal to St Coca's Church Kilcock. Requiem Mass on Saturday, July 1 at 10am followed by burial in St Mary's Parish Church, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim (arriving at approx. 1.30pm). "Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis".

Veronica Woods (née McGowan), Drumshanbo, Leitrim / Dromod, Leitrim

The death occurred following a long illness bravely borne surrounded by her family at her home on Thursday, June 29, 2023 of Veronica Woods (nee McGowan), Towneycorry, Drumkeeran, Co. Leitrim and formerly Drumshanbo. Predeceased by her parents Michael P. and May McGowan and infant sister Bernadette, Cloonturk, Dromod, beloved wife and best friend of Kevin and dear mother of Marian, Catherine, Vera and Ciaran sadly missed by her husband, children, her adored grandchildren Hayley, Noah, Kai and Sam, siblings Mary Moran, Josie McDermott, Sean and Micheal, son in law Paul Martin, Vera’s partner Stephen Lynch, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and many friends. The death occurred suddenly at her home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 of Rose A McCabe, Cloncovid, Kilcogy, Cavan. Predeceased by her parents James and Mary Kate, brothers John and Paddy, and sister Kathleen. Sadly missed by her sister Margaret (U.S.A.) nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. May she rest in peace.
