Philomena Donoghue (née Delaney), Bracklin Road, Edgeworthstown, Longford / Kildare


The death occurred, peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Tullamore Regional Hospital surrounded by her heartbroken family, on Thursday, April 6, 2023 of Mrs Philomena Donoghue (Mrs D), Bracklin Road, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford and formerly of Harristown Estate, Brannoxtown, Co Kildare. Predeceased by her brother Walter, and her sisters Betty, Mary, Kathleen, Teresa and Dolly. She will be sadly missed by her husband Philip (Phil), and her children Peter, Maura, Kay, Helen, Philip, John, Pauline and Róisín, her adoring grandchildren,Éimhear, Sasha, Séana, Daniel, David, Shauna, Philip, Mark, Ava, Emma, James, Eoin, Réiltín and Fionnán, her brothers Séan, Eamon and Ollie, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown on Saturday, April 8 from 3pm until 5.30pm followed by removal to St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown to arrive at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, April 9 at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Abbeylara Cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed on the following link https://www.churchtv.ie/edgeworthstown/

Brian McQuaide, Gaigue, Ballinamuck, Longford


The death occurred, suddenly at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 of Brian McQuaide, Gaigue, Ballinamuck, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Ellen and sister-in-law Martina Kelly. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Anne, daughters Megan and Aiobheann, brothers Tommy, Frank, Vincent and Eamonn, sisters-in-law Majella, Siobhan, Breege and Theresa Kelly, Brother-in-law Michael, nephews Kevin, Stephen and godson Mark, niece Emma, mother-in-law Anna Mai, cousins, relatives, good neighbours and friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Kelly’s Funeral Home, Athlone Road, Longford, N39 K381, this Friday, April 7 from 5pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Saturday, April 8 to Saint Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by cremation service at the Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, arriving at 4pm. The death occurred, peacefully, in the Regional Hospital Mullingar and previously in the wonderful care of the staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 of Thomas Christopher (TC) Gray, Abbeycarton, Longford town and formerly of Main Street, Drumlish, Co Longford.
Predeceased by his wife Margaret, parents Tom, Mary and sister Mary. Deeply regretted by his sisters Patsy, Elizabeth and Eileen, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing in Laurel Lodge Nursing Home this Saturday evening, April 8 from 5pm until 6.30pm, prayers at 6.15pm. Removal on Sunday morning, April 9 to St Mary's Church, Drumlish for 11am funeral mass. Followed by burial in local cemetery. House private please.

Pat Wall, The Demesne, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred, unexpectedly but peacefully at The Regional Hospital, Tullamore, surrounded by his family, on Monday, April 3, 2023 of Pat Wall, The Demesne, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Kathleen, brother Gerry and by his sister Ann. Pat will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his heartbroken wife and best friend Mags, beloved son Brendan, adored daughter Deirdre, beautiful granddaughters Rosie and Pearl, precious grandson Luke, brother Michael, son-in-law Leroy, sister-in-law Bernadette, niece, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Rita Delaney (née Diffley), Carrigallen, Leitrim


The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Cavan General Hospital, on Thursday, April 6, 2023 of Rita Delaney (née Diffley), Carrigallen, Leitrim. Predeceased by her husband Patrick (Pat), her brothers Jim, Gerald and Mick Joe, sisters Annie and Mae, and Great Grandchild Finn. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken daughters Geraldine Heslin (Drumlish), Anne Heavey (Ballyconnell), Kitty Nicholls (Dublin) and Martina Donohoe (Gortermone), her sisters Eithne and Bridie, sons-in-law Adrian and Michael, her eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends. Rest in Peace.

Removal from the Funeral Home on Easter Monday morning, April 10,  to arrive at St Mary's Church, Carrigallen, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Drumreilly Cemetery. The death occurred, in his 93rd year, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, on Thursday, April 6, 2023 of Patrick (Paddy) Cummins, Lahausk, Strokestown, Roscommon / Tulsk, Roscommon. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, and his sisters-in-law Mai and Nuala.
Paddy will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Maura (nee Connally), daughters Majella (Smyth, Ballintubber), Joan (Neary, Cregga, Strokestown) and Rosaleen (Gallogly, Kilglass), sons-in-law Mike, John and Kieran, adored grandchildren Shane, Kevin, David, Brian, Colm, Lauren and Conor, brothers Tom (London), Jim (Birmingham), sister Mary (Madden, Dublin), brothers-in-law Patsy (Connally, Lanesboro) and Mickey (Madden, Dublin), sister-in-law Mary (Connally, Castlerea), nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of all the staff at Sonas Nursing Home, Cloverhill, on Monday, April 3, 2023 of Kathleen Fallon, Cloonslanor, Strokestown, Roscommon and formerly of Hartly, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim. Deeply regretted by her cousins, neighbours and friends. Rest In Peace.
Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Wednesday, April 5 from 7pm until 8pm. Removal on Thursday, April 6 to Strokestown Parish Church for Funeral Liturgy at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Carrick-on-Shannon at 12.30pm.

Maureen Fuchs (née Kilrane), Towneymore, Mohill, Leitrim / Gortletteragh, Leitrim


The death occurred, peacefully at her home in Germany, on Monday, April 3, 2023 of Maureen Fuchs (Maureen Kilrane), Germany and formerly of Towneymore, Mohill, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by her Angel daughter Angela and darling sister Anita. Sadly missed by her lovely daughters Eileen, Carmen and husband Eirwin. Deeply regretted by her sister Loretta, brothers Micheal, Bernie, Frank, Vincent, Kevin, Mel, Colm and Paddy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends. May Maureen's gentle soul rest in peace.
Mass for the repose of Maureen's soul will be held at a later stage in Mohill and Gortletteragh churches.

Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy NÉE Wallace) England and late of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath / Louisburgh, Mayo


The death occurred, peacefully, on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy née Wallace), Ruislip, Middlesex, England and formerly of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and Louisburgh, Co Mayo. Beloved wife of Brian and the late Eamonn and dear mother of Paul and Louise. Noreen will be very sadly missed by her husband and family, son-in-law Gary, daughter-in-law Jackie, her cherished grandchildren Natasha, Heather, Aidan, Pearse and Christy, her brothers Anthony, Stephen and Tommy, sister Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. May Noreen rest in peace.
Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 1pm at Our Lady of the Visitation Church, Greenford, Middlesex, England, followed by cremation at Breakspear Crematorium, Ruislip. The Mass can be viewed at Our Lady of the Visitation
A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 12 noon in the Church of St John the Baptist, Whitehall, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath followed by interment of ashes in the adjoining cemetery. In preference to flowers, Brian, Paul and Louise would appreciate donations to Alzheimer's Research UK (JustGiving)
