Very Rev Seamus (James) Fullam, Abbeylara Road, Granard, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 of Very Rev Seamus (James) Fullam, Abbeylara Road, Granard, Co Longford, and PP Emeritus of the Dioceses of Westminster, London, England. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret, his uncle Fr James and sisters Margaret and Ann. Deeply regretted by the Bishop of Westminster and fellow Clergy and Religious, nephew Javid, cousins and his carer and friend Evelyn. Peace, Perfect Peace.
Reposing at Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, on Wednesday, February 22 from 3pm until 5.30pm, followed by removal to St Bernard’s Church, Abbeylara, via Granard, arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 23 at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Carra Cemetery, Granard.
The family would like to thank Dr Niall Donohoe, Granard, the doctors and staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar and the matron and staff of Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, for the exceptional care shown to Fr Seamus.

The death occurred, peacefully, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 of Kathleen Galligan Cashel, Ballinagh. Retired Staff Nurse at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her father John Frank and mother Katie sisters Mary and Mona, Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews Sean (Roisin), Padraig, Siobhan (Robbie), Caith (Mike), Maura (Brendan), Sinead (James), Sean Kelly (Nicky), relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Finnegan’s Funeral Home and Crematorium Dublin Road, Cavan on Tuesday evening, February 21 from 5pm until 7pm. Removal to arrive at St Felim’s Church Ballinagh on Wednesday, February 22 for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House Private please.

Mary Lambden (née O'Connor), Ballygarron, Rathowen, Co Westmeath


The death occurred, peacefully in the company of her family in the great care of the staff of Medical 1, Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 of Mary Lambden (nee O'Connor), Ballygarron, Rathowen, Co Westmeath. Predeceased by her loving parents Bernard and Anne O'Connor, brothers Brian and Patrick. Mary will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Tommy, her children David, Tom, Declan and Sara. Grandchildren Mia, Grace, Alfie and Ruby. Sisters Kate, Nuala, Anna and Jodie, daughters-in-law and her wider circle of family and friends. Rest in Peace. The death occurred, following a short illness at his home, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 of John Cox, Antfield, Aughamore, Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by his brothers Hugh and Jim and sister Josie, beloved husband of Bridie, and dear father to Sean, Gerard, Enda, Fiona (Tracey), Niall, Kevin and Sharon (O’Keeffe) sadly missed by his wife and family brothers, sisters, sons in law, daughters in law, brothers in law, sisters in law, his eighteen grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May John Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his home on Thursday, February 23 from 2pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, February 24 at 12 noon in St Mary’s Church, Annaduff. The death occurred, peacefully, at Mount Hybla Private Nursing Home, Castleknock, Dublin, on Monday, February 13, 2023 of Mary Harrington, née Mahon, of Dublin, Ardee, Co Louth, Mitchelstown, Co Cork, Hertfordshire, England and formerly of Breanross South, Gortletteragh, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by her loving husband; Johnny, her sisters; Bridie (Callaghan), Teresa and Bernadette Mahon and her brother; Bernard (Bernie). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son; Brendan, daughter; Bernadette, daughter-in-law; Geraldine, sister; Anne Cunningham, nieces, nephew, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends. Beloved wife of the late Edward. Predeceased by his parents William and Katie Sheridan, sisters Margaret, Bridget and Mary and brother John. The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 of Evelyn Shannon (née Smyth) 4 Shangarrai, Ballinagh, Co Cavan & formerly Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
Predeceased by her husband Cormac. The death occurred, peacefully after a brief illness at Kerry University Hospital, Tralee, Co Kerry, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 of Angela McNiff, Kiltyhugh, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim/ Killarney, Kerry.
Predeceased by her father Thomas Joseph. Angela will be sadly missed by her heartbroken mother Esther, brothers Gerard & Joseph, sisters Mary (Moran), Ann (Delahunty) & Patricia (McLoughlin), aunts Breege Maguire & Tess McGovern, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at the family home in Kiltyhugh N41 FH22 this Tuesday evening, February 21 from 5pm until 8pm. House for family and neighbours at all other times please. Removal on Wednesday morning, February 22 to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Corraleehan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France and formerly Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford


The death occurred of Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France, daughter of the late William and Catherine Thorne Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford. Ann died in Maulin's Centre Hospital La Montagne, France where she lived for over fifty years with her husband Terry.
She is survived by her husband Terry, formerly of Main St Longford, her brothers Mattie and Frank, relatives and friends.
A commemorative Mass will be held for Ann in St Mel's Cathedral on Sunday, March 12 at 10am.

Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy NÉE Wallace) England and late of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath / Louisburgh, Mayo


The death occurred, peacefully, on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy née Wallace), Ruislip, Middlesex, England and formerly of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and Louisburgh, Co Mayo. Beloved wife of Brian and the late Eamonn and dear mother of Paul and Louise. Noreen will be very sadly missed by her husband and family, son-in-law Gary, daughter-in-law Jackie, her cherished grandchildren Natasha, Heather, Aidan, Pearse and Christy, her brothers Anthony, Stephen and Tommy, sister Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. May Noreen rest in peace.
Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 1pm at Our Lady of the Visitation Church, Greenford, Middlesex, England, followed by cremation at Breakspear Crematorium, Ruislip. The Mass can be viewed at Our Lady of the Visitation
A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 12 noon in the Church of St John the Baptist, Whitehall, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath followed by interment of ashes in the adjoining cemetery. In preference to flowers, Brian, Paul and Louise would appreciate donations to Alzheimer's Research UK (JustGiving)
