The death occurred, suddenly but peacefully at the Midland’s Regional Hospital Mullingar, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 of Pauline Mulvihill (nee Kehoe).  Predeceased by her parents Tom and Rosaleen. Pauline will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, her beloved husband Noel, dear daughters Naomi Martin (Dromard), Olivia Manicle (Moydow) and Orla O’Reilly (Newtownforbes), sisters Kathleen Maher and Anne Jenkins, brothers Willie and Tommy, sons-in-law Kieran, Graham and Kieran, grandchildren Donnagh, Ross, Ben, Eoin, Jack and Alfie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Friday, February 3 from 6pm concluding with prayers 8.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, February 4 in St. Mel’s Cathedral at 11am, interment afterwards in Cashel cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live please go to www.longfordparish.com.

The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Innis Ree Lodge Nursing Home Ballyleague, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 of Annie (Nancy) Ross (nee Casey), 56 Church View, Lanesboro, Co Longford.  Predeceased by her husband Barney and sons Gerard & David. Annie will be sadly missed by her daughter Lil, sons Brian & Paul, daughters in law Kitty & Pauline, son in law Andris, grand children Liam, Shane, Joanna (and fiance Jamie), Catherine, Bernadette and James, great grandchild Jack, sisters Kathy, Mary, Martha, Rita and Philomena, her nieces, nephews, neighbours & friends. Reposing at Farrell's Funeral Home (N39 E761) on Thursday, February 2 from 4pm to 7pm, followed by removal to St Mary's Church to arrive at 7:30pm. The death occurred, peacefully at Tullamore General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after battling an illness with courage and dignity, on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 of Michael O'Farrell, Killeenboy, Colehill, Longford. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Elizabeth. Michael will be forever remembered by his loving wife Eileen, his cherished children Barry, Deirdre and Córa, his sisters Mary Brady, Rena Bracken (Kinnegad), Elizabeth Ward (Ballinasloe), his brother Patrick and twin brother Mel, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown (N39VR04) on Thursday, February 2 from 4pm to 7pm. Elaine Hanlon, Longford Town, Longford / Dublin


The death occurred on Monday, January 30, 2023 of Elaine Hanlon, Longford town / Dublin. Elaine left this world with courage, bravery and humour, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her father Noel and by her infant son Bob. Elaine will be forever loved and deeply missed by her beloved daughter Abigail, her mother Fionnuala, sisters Jennifer, Louise, Anne, Nuala, Maria and Emma, brothers Patrick and Robert, her cousin Taraleigh, her cherished nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and a wide circle of very dear friends. May she rest in peace.

The death occurred, in the loving care of nurses and staff of Yew Tree Care home Birmingham, England, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 of Mary McGoey, Birmingham, England and late of Abbeyderg, Kenagh, Co Longford.
Predeceased by her parents James and Ellen McGoey and sister in law Marie. Mary will be sadly missed and loved by her family brothers Michael (England), Jimmie and Brendan, sisters Theresa Farrell and Helen Reilly, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass at 10.30am on Sunday morning, February 5 in St Dominic's Church Kenagh. Burial of Ashes afterwards in Abbeyderg Cemetery. Noreen (Nora T) Concannon (née Byrne), Creevaghbeg, Ballymahon, Co Longford


The death occurred, peacefully in her home, on Sunday, January 29, 2023 of Noreen (Nora T) Concannon (nee Byrne), Creevaghbeg, Ballymahon, Co Longford and formerly Johnstown, Ballyhaunis. Predeceased by her husband John (Ballygowan, Claremorris), infant daughter Mary Teresa and brother Pat Byrne (Johnstown, Ballyhaunis). Sadly missed by her five sons, John, Michael, David, Patrick, Paul and daughter Carmel. Daughters in law Nora, Maureen, Sinéad, Frida, Alma and son in law Keith, 14 grandchildren, sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
Reposing at her residence on Tuesday, January 31 from 4pm onwards. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, which occurred peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Kettering General Hospital, of Michael Dowler, 1944-2023. Michael had so many memories of growing up in Abbeyshrule and the surrounding areas in Longford with his parents Michael and Kathleen Dowler and sister Nancy and cousin James Dowler. A loving Daddy to Nicola, Aileen, Kristine and Katie, grandad and friend to many. Funeral takes place in Saint Edwards Church, Kettering at 2pm on Friday, February 17, 2023.

The death occurred, peacefully after a short illness bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family at Galway university hospital, on Monday, January 30, 2023 of Maureen Hamilton (née McGowan), 2 Gleann Ailinne, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim and formerly Belfast.
Predeceased by her parents Joe McGowan and Elizabeth McGowan (née Archer), infant brother Gerard, brother John and sister Jenette. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend Ian, sons Paul (Drumshanbo) and Mark (Lincolnshire), daughter Kelly (Drumshanbo), daughter-in-law Rachael, son-in-law Stephen Dyer, adored grandchildren Bradley, Naoise, Jodie, Dylan and Callum, great-grandchildren Ashton and Nicole, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, dear cousin Eileen, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, suddenly, in the loving care of the staff of the Intensive Care Unit, University Hospital Galway, on Sunday, January 29, 2023 of Bridget Conroy (nee Ames), Clooncullane, Strokestown, Co Roscommon/ Elphin, Roscommon. Predeceased by her mother Lena, father Peter and baby infant son Matthew. Devoted wife of Matty, and much loved and treasured mother of Sinéad, Yvonne, Martin, Fiona, Lorraine, Adrian, Derek, Michelle and John, sons-in-law Stephen, Kevin and Gearóid, daughters-in-law Jane, Ciara, Órla and Jacqueline, her 19 adored and cherished grandchildren, brother Tom, sisters Mary, Una and Kathleen, sisters-in-law Goretti, Kathleen and Maureen, brothers-in-law Jimmy and Michael, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, good neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her husband Packie, her sister Mary, brothers John, Hugh, Peter & Conor and her son-in-law Tom Molloy.
