Gardaí issue appeal in relation to suspected county Longford arson attack

Gardaí in county Longford have issued an appeal in relation to a suspected arson attack.

The alleged offence and incident occurred in the Devine Crescent area of Edgeworthstown just after 12-midnight on Sunday.

Gardaí confirmed they attended the scene of the suspected 'criminal damage by fire' incident at an Edgeworthstown house.

The alarm was raised a short time after the blaze broke out and local fire services attended the scene and extinguished the fire.

Gardaí said no injuries had been reported and investigations are continuing.
