Bench warrant issued following no-show at Longford District Court

Longford District Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of a man who failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing relating to road traffic offences.

53 year old Nasir Javaid of 16 Corry Park, Newtownforbes, Longford, was due to appear before the court on charges arising from August 28, 2025 at Corry Park in which he stands accused of not having insurance and for failing to produce an insurance certificate on the day itself or within ten days following.

Garda Keith Dunleavy told the court that a witness was in attendance to give evidence.

Upon confirmation that Javaid was not in court, Sgt Mark Mahon requested a bench warrant for his arrest.

A new hearing has been scheduled for December 1.
