BREAKING: Daily Covid case numbers confirmed

THE HSE Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been notified of 16,986* confirmed cases of Covid-19 this Bank Holiday Monday.

Given the current high incidence, the daily case number is based on positive SARS-CoV-2 results uploaded to the HSE Covid Care Tracker the preceding day. These data are "provisional".

The number of Covid cases released on Sunday was 17,071.

A young man killed in a single vehicle road crash outside Granard yesterday has been named locally. 

 

As of 8am today, 804 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised of which 93 are in ICU. On Sunday morning, 717 Covid-19 patients were in hospitals; 87 in intensive care.
