Fans of Fabiani in Longford town were not surprised to hear that the Longford town fashion and shoe store has been shortlisted in the Irish Times Best Shops 2016 Competition.
The shortlist was compiled on public vote so the achievement is extra special indeed for proprietor Louise Brennan and her team.
Also of interest to Longfordians is one of the nominees for Best Book Shop - Charlie Byrne’s Siopa Leabhar, Middle Street, Galway - which is owned by Ballymahon native Charlie Byrne.
The winners of the best shops will be announced on August 27.
