"Some of the best performing stores": Longford stores pick up Gala Awards

Three county Longford Gala Retail stores have been named as amongst the best Gala Retail stores in Ireland at the 2025 Gala Retail ‘Delivering the Difference’ annual conference at the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney.

Hanlon's Gala in Longford picked up the big award on the night, named as the top store in Ireland for its off-licence.

Hanlon's Gala was also named as a runner-up in the Fresh Food category, and Fox's Gala in Ballinalee was a worthy runner-up in the Community Initiative category.

Both stores were also named as Gala Retail Excellence Award winners, and were joined by Corrigan’s Gala, Moyne who also achieved a Gala Retail Excellence Award.

Sports broadcaster, Jacqui Hurley, was MC for the Gala celebratory evening event, and speakers Bernard Jackman and Geoff Ramm featured at the morning conference.
