The awards highlight the EDI Centre and REVAMP's leadership in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion and leadership in social enterprise
The National Social Enterprise Awards took place on Wednesday, October 15. They highlighted the positive impact social enterprises have on our communities and raises awareness and understanding of social enterprise across Ireland
It took place in the Priory Market and Apex Theatre complex in Tallaght, Dublin.

Speaking about the awards Minister Buttimer said:
"The social enterprise sector is growing, along with the wider social economy. It is playing an increasingly important role in delivering positive responses to our social and societal issues. The work they deliver throughout Ireland is important to so many communities. They are tangibly helping to address many of the key issues affecting society while providing employment, opportunities and making a positive impact.”
Longford EDI (Employment Development & Information) Centre, was a runner up for the social-finance category.
“Social finance is vital for social enterprises like the EDI Centre, where it provides essential capital to grow without compromising our social mission,” said Breda Murphy, EDI Longford's CEO.

She added: “Our recent recognition through the National Social Enterprise Awards and Circular.ie highlights the EDI Centre and REVAMP's leadership in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion and leadership in social enterprise; these awards boost our credibility. Earlier in 2025, the Centre became one of the first to achieve the People and Planet Mark, affirming its sustainability-driven ethos, and commitment to positive, lasting social change.”
REVAMP was established in 2002 as a training project for long-term unemployed.
