O’Rourke takes over Vincent Browne Show

She swore that she hadn’t gone away so news that former Longford Westmeath TD Mary O’Rourke will return to TV screens this week is hardly a big surprise. Ms O’Rourke is set to take over the hot seat on the Vincent Browne show to allow Vincent to hit the beach with a bucket and spade.

She swore that she hadn’t gone away so news that former Longford Westmeath TD Mary O’Rourke will return to TV screens this week is hardly a big surprise. Ms O’Rourke is set to take over the hot seat on the Vincent Browne show to allow Vincent to hit the beach with a bucket and spade.

The Athlone woman will be at the helm of the VB show from this Monday July 11 until Friday July 14. Other guest presenters for the duration of Vincent’s eight week holidays include: Irish Independent Journalist Sam Smyth, Daily Star Editor Ger Colleran, Senator David Norris, Senator Fergal Quinn, Senator Mary O’Brien, Senator Declan Ganley, journalist Sarah Carey and Newstalk presenter Ivan Yates.

TV3 has stated that each of the guest hosts will choose their own panellists and decide the subject matter for each evening’s programme which will also include the regular preview of the following day’s newspapers.

TV3 Director of News Andrew Hanlon said: “This year I have widened our panel of guest presenters to provide our viewers with a diverse range of opinions and views. The fact that many of them have never presented a live television programme before will, in my view, make it even more compelling to watch!”
