Having made its debut last Friday, January 24, this year’s Backstage Youth Theatre (BYT) panto will continue tonight, Wednesday.

Written and performed by members of Backstage Youth Theatre, ‘Happily Ever After?’ features a mix of well-known fairytales and characters.

As with all pantos, things don’t happen the way they do in the story books, so there are a lot of questions to be answered. Is Snow White really a horrible boss? Are the dwarves actually going to go on strike? Has Red Riding Hoody been framed for the murder of her granny? Will Prince Charming TD get Senator Sleeping Beauty to stay awake long enough to propose to her? Who exactly is Daz, the fashionista mer-man who can’t stop speaking in fish-puns?

The biggest question of them all: will everyone live ‘Happily Ever After’?

With all six of the original dates sold out, the group have added another performance tonight, Wednesday, January 29. The panto will continue until Saturday, February 1.

A limited number of tickets are still available. For more information, or to book tickets, visit www.backstage.ie or call the box office on 043 33 47888.
