GALLERY| Mothú a resounding success

The sun shone down on the Mothú event organised by local student, Eric Ehigie on Saturday afternoon.

The event was organised in a bid to improve mental health awareness and to encourage young people to express themselves. A number of guest speakers, musicians and a comedian attended the event at St Mel's College on Saturday afternoon.

Speakers included the likes of Fine Gael candidate Maria Walsh and comedian Fabu.

Speaking to the Leader ahead of the event, organiser Eric said: “I feel people need to acknowledge mental health difficulties in order for us to make a positive change to the lives of those who suffer from the hands of these difficulties. I have friends that have suffered with their mental health and I have had my own ups and down also.”
