A look at the stories making the front page

In the first of our daily updates, we take a look at what’s making the front page of this week’s Longford Leader.

There’s a report on Longford Town Mayor, James Keogh’s opposition to the Stability treaty. Fine Gael are considering a motion of censure against Cllr. Keogh who has stated that he doesn’t believe politicians should behave like ‘sheep.’

We also cover former Longford footballer, Jimmy Flynn’s decision to offer eight acres of land to the Department of Health for the purpose of building the new National Children’s Hospital entirely free of charge.

Inside this week’s Leader, we have in-depth coverage of Longford’s pivotal championship opener against Laois on Sunday, including interviews and analysis.

Later this week, we will have video interviews with manager Glenn Ryan and players Paul Barden and Brian Kavanagh online at www.longfordleader.ie
