The Longford County Enterprise Board Awards took place in Viewmount House on Tuesday afternoon.
Chairman of the Enterprise Board Michael Nevin was presiding and both he and Longford County Manager Tim Caffrey presented the awards to the entreprenuers behind some of Longford’s most successful businesses. The winners and the three runners up were presented prestigious cut-glass crystal bowls.
The winners on the day were Alex and Edel Stanley and their Ballymahon-based sensation Outdoor Discovery Adventure Company, which organises outdoor adventure activities such as white-water rafting and kayaking for school groups, parties and company team-building exercises.
The runners-up were Tom Kelly of Kelly Menswear on the Athlone Road, Maureen O’Hara of Rapid Print - also of the Athlone Road, and Gary and Eilish Toher of GNA Analytical based in Redleaf House in Longford, who service and calibrate lab equipment for companies throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom.
