New York Senior Football Championship Final

Following Longford’s excellent win (2-13 to 1-14) against Rockland in the recent New York Intermediate Football Championship Final, there was a strong connection from the county in Sligo’s 4-16 to 1-13 success against Cavan in the Senior title decider at Gaelic Park on Sunday.

The manager of the triumphant Sligo squad was none other than the former Sean Connolly’s and Longford footballer Gerry Fox in what was another fine achievement by the Ballinalee native who has enjoyed quite a few honours in New York GAA.
